Little Sister is Watching
So I decided I was going to wear favorite fandom reference shirts on the days I wasn't in costume, right? Since Saturday is Clue (for Parade), and Sunday is Death. And Friday was going to be my Teefury Deathly Hallows shirt. And then in the middle of last night, I got a crazy smile and realize my second fandom shirt would be my "You Don't Know Me" Kabuki shirt.
Except then it dawned on me.
The shirt is actually straight from the comic. It's from Kabuki, Vol 4, Skin Deep. So I leafed through the comics until I could find the picture of her wearing it. Or anyone in Control Corps wearing one. The rest of the whole outfit, for Kabuki herself, is -- loose, light blue jeans and normal tennis shoes. To complete a whole costume of it I'd only need to --
-- buy a shoulder-length, bobbed, bangless, black wig
-- buy little silver bead blocks spelling "Ukiko" on a necklace
-- draw Kanji down across the right side of my face for "Kabuki"
I don't even know that anyone would get the comic reference, and I wouldn't have to do the back tattoo's because shirt, and I'm so, so, tempted. I mean, third costume, for one of my oldie but goodie favorite series from when I was working the industry, with all of two-three small purchases.
