Among the interesting thoughts
Last night when I went to pay Ten Year Reunion fee last night for Cat and myself, to the girl organizing it, who turned out to be living in my apartment complex on the opposite side of it, I watched her do a double take when she caught sight of me. And then I remembered.
I don't look much at all like I did when I was in high school. My hair is still long, my eyes are still blue, I'm still quite tiny height wise. But I do happen to live, consistently more than half a decade now, at something like forty pounds, and several sizes, lighter than they ever saw me. I wonder if I should be preparing myself for that to be a general first glance reaction.
