Yankee Candle Jarnormious Sale: Revenge of the Tea Candle

Jul 08, 2011 19:11

Pretty much since the middle of this sale about two or three weeks back, I started telling Earl (who was in the stores in person with me) and Stephanie (who ends up hearing of my conquests pretty shortly after they happen) of my plan for the last week. I bought a box of pink tea lights for Pink Month/Moon in Temple of Twelve...

But really I've never been sold on paying much money for a box of tea lights. Ever. I really will not pay $10 for a box of 12 tea lights. At almost a $1 a tea light it's never happened, never will. My first tea light box from Yankee ever was Pink's Cherry Lemonade at $5 during this sale. And I've been steadily sort of silent-stalking the tea light sale stack since. Watching to see how far they might get marked down.

In favor of buying boxes of them to run me through decorating my entire Temple of Twelve Year Two for altars if and only if they got marked down enough it would make sense to buy them. This week is the very last week of the Sale. It ends on Sunday, and Saturday was my Check on the New Accessories Pulled from the Back/New Sales, but tomorrow is RCG Path and SMACK, and Sunday I have an RCG council meeting, too.

So I went tonight; Blue -- Evening Air
Green -- Dune Grass
Red -- Black Raspberry
Orange -- Vanilla Pumpkin
Purple -- Rhubarb Plum
Brown -- Cinnamon & Sugar
White -- Winter Wonderland
Gold -- Autumn Gold
Yellow -- Honey Suckle
Because 108 tea lights for about $20, when it means I have now both color mirrors and color candles for almost every Temple of Twelve Color Altar for the next ten months, in amazingly evocative Yankee Candle scents, is totally awesomely acceptable. I'm truly going to miss this sale.
