Tomorrow the Yankee Candle Annual Summer Sale starts, and tonight the Friends, Family, and Privileged Costumer's were invited to the first night of it. I, just so, happened to be the very first one tonight. About twenty minutes early.
I knew I was going to drop in when they mentioned that had a Jar-tacular Sale, selling them at 6 for $60ish instead of 2 for $50. Four free candles? With how fast my house goes through them? And the fact I have a new favorite Tea Scent? Yeah, sign me up.
I walked out today with Four bags Full of Stuff, but paid less than half our normal (between the sale and a coupon Steph passed my way a few days ago). I kind of love how the sales are the days I really get accessories more than anything else, for altars and for storage.
I might check back in two weeks, when the sale hits its middle. Apparently that's when things may be marked down and when they may bring out the Christmas/Yule accessories that need to be liquidated. We'll see. This month is going to be tight already what with three weeks of four days (two holidays, and the one this week for Springfest).
Acquisitions of the Summer Sale, Round OneI. Large Jar Candles (Blackberry Tea x2, Lush Peach, Wild Cherry, Blueberry, and Mistletoe & Fig)
II. $3 accessories (48-count votive storing boxes in blue x2)
III. $1 accessories (a conch shell tea light holder [for Water and all related things], two tall glass votive holders [potentially for later versions of the Temple of Twelve Altar], two oil-drop porcelain ornaments [a Snowman & a Nutcracker], a wicker basket, and Scarecrow votive holder [for Lughnasad/Mabon], a matching set of Hope & Love frosted glass votive holders x2 [personal, and a gift]).
