That thing people keep wanting to know about. Now that both Hope and My Girl have both asked that vaunted question in less than forty-eight hours of each other. And my birthday is in six days. So I will tell you in short order the absolute and only things that come to mind this year.
The same two things I wanted most at Christmas/Yule
- A lap harp, the extra insert music and travel case
- The Hidden Path God and Goddess statues
Followed by only three other things I can think of right now
- Flowering Tea balls
- A Mobi copy of Out For Blood by Alyxandra Harvey
- Luis Royo's The Labyrinth Tarot Deck or any Goddess Deck
- Memberships to San Antonio Museums
- My Master Wish & Gift Lists Thing
My Girl and I got into many discussions tonight, but most birthday things were actually an inspiration of her existing next to me talking. The Dinner and the possible thing I am about to lay out. As I have wanted most the same two things since Christmas and have not bought them for myself, nor expect that someone will be spending that much money on a single gift (and the statues are way out of range for everyone and I think I've picked my Gramma gift already), Girl and I talked about a different option.
I'm considering putting up a little donate-y button (or a jar with a picture at my dinner) and asking friends and family (who've not already done so) not to buy me birthday presents, but to donate $1-$5 dollars instead toward helping me get a lap harp set finally as that wouldn't be impossible money wise and it would make an almost two year long dream come true.
Thoughts or suggestions?
