Dreamwidth

Okay, someone explain to me how to cross post from Livejournal to Dreamwidth. I keep only finding ways to do it the opposite direction, and I'm probably never going to use it from Dreamwidth to Livejournal. It may take me forever to get back to this, but at least it would be there waiting somewhere.

It'd be glorious if it could work with Semagic,

You can post to DW and LJ at the same time using Semagic. I actually use my Semagic to post all of my entries to LJ, IJ and DW at the same time. You just have to create all the accounts in Semagic and then go to Journal, Post to Multiple Journals and select which ones to post to. That will post it automatically so you don't actually use the Post Entry button.

Do you know how to add extra accounts to Semagic? If so the DW server is www.dreamwidth.org and if not, let me know and I'll try and type up an understandable explanation.

Yay! Sorry. I went out to do errands before I got the above comment. I love Semagic so much and it's fairly easy.

Live Journal won't crosspost anything. You have to set your Dreamwidth to do the crosspost, but you can set it to leave comments turned on at LJ and turn them off at DW, or vice versa: http://www.dreamwidth.org/manage/settings/?cat=othersites

Once you set your Semagic to post to DW (I can talk you through this if you need it) and set your DW crosspost settings however you want them, all your posts will be crossposted at both places.
