Apple Tart [Granny Smith apples with scented spices, in white chocolate]Sort of okay to mediocre. Tasted like apples and mash. Not my candy of choice by far.
Aztec Chocolate Cake [Blend of cinnamon, vanilla, and habanera pepper, in dark chocolate shell]Perfection. This is my Mexican hot chocolate, with its sweetness and pepper spice, melting on the stove in the simmering milk, wrapped up in a tiny star. Which decadent dark chocolate wrapped around it. This is the favorite of this set.
Bananas Fosters [Caramelized bananas with delicious spices and vanilla, in milk chocolate]This one goes down on record as the worst Godiva thing I've put in my mouth ever. I didn't believe Earl when he said it was bad. He made me take a bite of his star. See. We both often find things that are well made, but not our style. But this star here? This is Gerber Baby Mashed Banana's in chocolate. I couldn't even make myself swallow it. I never even touched mine.
Caramel Creme [Smooth Caramel and sweet milk in milk chocolate]This one was pretty normal actually. It's just caramel and just milk chocolate. Good, as in always well made, but it's not something to write home about.
Candy Cane Truffle [Peppermint center in white chocolate with red candy cane stinging]Speaking from two people, who are always 'okay' but never amazed with any white chocolate Godiva candies, this was phenomenal. It's truly perfect candy cane mixed which sweet, good, creamy white chocolate. Mmmm.
Gingerbread Truffle [Gingerbread ganache in milk chocolate shell]Like biting into a soft gingerbread cookie, except it's made of chocolate, like the cookie had been. I never expected this one to be as amazing as it was.
Eggnog Truffle [Eggnog center in dark chocolate shell]Sweet, solid and perfectly like drinking a glass of eggnog. The smallest perfect tiny, dark chocolate edged sip.
Yes. There are five Holiday Truffles in the picture and only three here.
Having been doing this for almost the better part of year, we're getting to the part of skipping things. The other two are normal, plain Dark Chocolate and Milk Chocolate truffles. We're starting to skip what we can now, in the hopes of the awesome.
Which the entire rest of the Holiday Truffle line was.
