Which is such a juxtaposition from opening my door out into the high heat and humidity of Texas summer. But it's driving me delightfully delirious when I walk through my living room to do things in my bedroom or kitchen. My house has a Yankee Candle obsession that is well fed and kept and pampered. We live on the big jar candles it seems.
There are signature scents in the bedrooms. Earl's is presently
Leather (his old one was
Strawberry Buttercream), and mine is Tea & Honey (twice over, and so rare/retired it has no link). The kitchen's scent of twice going now is Lemon Lavender, and will probably stay as thus until we stop thinking it smell clean and cool and kitchen-y. The dining room was originally
Lavendar Vanilla, and now is
Mountain Lodge.
The living room though has gone headfirst into autumn with its newest candles. The middle of the living room is
Autumn Wreath. The part between the kitchen and living room has
Autumn Fruit. The furthest side of the living room still has an original first trip jar candle in
Coconut Bay.
But low our candle adventures do not stop there even!
There's also the first wave (and I think mostly failed) attempt for using reeds sticks for
Autumn Wreath and
Spiced Pumpkin. (I may just see about replacing coconut with a
Spiced Pumpkin jar when the time comes.) We're still waiting to test out the
Scentstories Player, but I'm sure I'll likely update my thoughts to that whenever we get there.
Also. Earl has a love of Yankee Candle decor pieces. The first trip in the spring saw the
Wine Bottle Trio for tea lights as the centerpiece for our dining room table. There's a
Lantern tea light holder with stand on the Holiday Altar and one in the living room because he loved them.
I finally fell in love with my first one this week. A tiny
Fruit Basket votive holder that was perfect for the Mabon Altar (and, justly so, it's got an
Autumn Fruit votive in it). Which, since it's in the mention, here's an image of the tiny Holiday Altar in the dining room, since the purchase above inspired us to get all creative-ly Mabonish on it.
