Updating You People on My Insanity
Somewhere over there in the Five Question Meme, someone asked my guilty pleasure food, and I said it was bacon. My back up to this is dark chocolate. And pretty much anything covered in dark chocolate. Especially fruit. But that changed today and a few days and back in Maryland. Where I met the food that will possibly be my guilty pleasure food for the next while.
Vosges Bacon Milk & Dark Chocolate Bar
Now, I'd heard of this a long while back from, I think it was sihaya09, while she was selling the whole world on the wonders of their Vosges Drinking Chocolates. But there was always something in the way of my trying it. The two most notable ones being -- I live in Texas where no one ships chocolate for It Is Ungodly Hot, and then I live in Korea which is out of shipping range.
Except, while standing in Wegman’s in Maryland I spotted the milk chocolate one. And kind of fell in love with it. Maybe even a little bit too much because of neenie's horrified faces. And then, after eating only a square of it, I forgot it in her fridge, as well.
Then weeks passed, melting it into the blur of crazy Maryland memories, until I was at Spec's while Earl and I were picking up two more bottles of the Spicewood's Basil Garlic Parmesan oil we like cooking with before a wine class. And I spotted them.
Which meant there was a necessity to try the dark chocolate one now, as well.
Yeaah. My tastes they are odd. But the dark chocolate and crumbled bacon and sea salt make me disturbingly blissful. Even if I can only eat it a square at a time and it has to be days apart between them thanks to my lack of consistently downing anything with that much sweetness in it.
