I Feel The West In You

TAURUS: Have you ever mused on the fact that your body is actually a kind of furnace? And that your whole life depends upon it? Food and oxygen are constantly combusting inside you, generating fiery energy that fuels your every movement, thought, and feeling. This awareness of fire as a source of vitality, not a destroyer, would be valuable for you to cultivate in the coming days. Your steady, earthy rhythm needs a shot of radiance and luminosity and fervor.
You know, Uncle Rob, just going on the last line there....

I. In four hours, I get in a taxi and will be living for the next three days on an island (Ullengdo Island) renown for being even more beautiful than the place I visited over the summer (Jejudo Island), and during it will be visiting the oft-disputed Dokdo Island. I am uncertain how this is all possible on many levels, both from the statement and from being grounded for six weeks. Four hours and I'm going to be out doing things, going places, sleeping in a bus and waking up to ride a ferry into the sunrise to ocean, forests, beaches, volcano's, and wonder.

Did I mention the part where I haven't packed at all.

There's a list at least?

II. This weekend is Chuseok, otherwise known as Korean Thanksgiving. It's when everyone here goes home to celebrate with their parents/grand parents and pay their respects the dearly departed. Apparently, it's also the time when children's parents pile gifts on you again. There've been boxes of food type things, department store girlie products again, and another matching envelope to the one that so blew me out of the water at Teacher's Day.

Plus, the Director gave the foreign teacher's a gift box (of shampoo, body wash, soap and tooth paste) which I swapped with a Elementary Korean Teacher for a flat of Asian pears (their gift from the director). So I now have a box of nine pears, weighing something around fifteen pounds, and roughly one-third the size of my head each, too!

III. I finished my work with Black last night, and read my chapter on Pink. I read ahead in the workbook for Pink only in the part where it requires recording acts done daily. For today there are going to be three. It's not very hard to notice them when you are looking for them. I am not hers, but she has her fingers deep in my ways. I have to admit my heart leapt and quivered before Blue already.

This afternoon I blew up the feather picture at work, so I could tape it to the closet door (beside the Chakra wall). For as much as I am in love and dedicated to the workbook, I seem to not be writing it in. I'm comforted by having the drawing on my wall though. Here. Here, I need reminders that there are things that see my dedication in them as much as I continue to plight my personal dedication to them.

And, after throwing up the next post of Bpal reviews, I think I should pack since I'm under the three hour mark now. I know there was more, but I've lost it now. So last, but far from least with it being at the top of today's to-do's; Happy birthday, chlorrel!
