Morning and Night Devotions

Another break while dinner settles and before I start reading the short stories for Thursday nights homework.

Many, many, many moons ago I put up a post updating my Goddess Altar pictures for the year and evegryffindor mentioned an interest in hearing about my daily rituals/devotions. It's taken me *eyes the date* a while to get back to it, but it's remained ( Read more... )

I would love to read " I am a Woman Raising my Voice".

That seems to be a major lesson for me in this life. I have been working with the Air in the elemental chat line and I know that Air is speaking to be about my voice, my truth, my daring to speak. I think I will order this book at the library.

Blessed be!

It is quite beautiful. Each of them could be used as meditation or journal prompt. I discovered the book while I was in Boulder and it's truly been phenomenal.

I hope you enjoy it!

This is really interesting. I'm always jealous of people that can find these comforting sort of rituals in their daily lives. I practiced Wicca for a while in junior high but, as I was living in my parents' house at the time and was also 13-14, I didn't get too far into it.

These also sound like wonderful ways to start and end the day.

This year was my year of instituting them, which slowly they seem to multiply. I didn't used to but had felt a drawing to something to do on both ends which could be religious and intellectual and about studying the multifaceted fields of my interest. (Especially in a format which could still be handled while I'm so busy. Yay for small, conpact, erudite pages!)

Seriously: brilliant. I've been wanting to do something like that for years. Maybe I should try and set something up, though I am lacking in the religion area.

Doing so many thing daily makes people no good usually. The only thing one has to do and the only practice is to pray to Buddha. And to ask him give his supporting hand. I" ve always did so - and find it the best kind of practicimg....
