Wading, perhaps, waist-deep
Taurus: "An uninterrupted dream is like an unopened letter," says the Talmud. But professional dream researcher Stephen LaBerge thinks that's too broad a statement. In his book Lucid Dreaming, he says dreams are more like poems than letters. If you try to extract literal meanings from them in the service of your ego, they may reveal nothing. But if you're willing to find lyrical, unexpected information that could aerate your imagination and dislodge you from your habits, dreams are more likely to be useful. Keeping in mind everything I've said, Taurus, treat the events of your waking life in the coming week as if they were poems coming from a dreamy part of your psyche that's enticing you to change your life.
Funny that you should say that, Uncle Rob, after I had a dream in the last week which made me re-examine my feelings on certain issues in my life. Not quite a dream I am up to sharing but one that lingers on me, especially in my tiny apartment, unable to engage in social activities while I spend my whole days submerged in work.
This has brought up a rather innocuously important question though: how did my lj add-on speed dial stop working? And why? And when? And how do I fix it? I have the icon up at the top and it works, but it won't open in my new windows or tabs. I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. It only works now when I hit the icon at the top of firefox to bring it up. I want it to work right again!
Also, having more to do with the title I am starting to feel less strangled as things become official and out of my hands. In the last two days I turned in three of my comprehensive oral paper's in their rough draft form to their prospective professors. Today I turned in the first rough draft of my project-thesis to my head, finished my reading and questions for the class tomorrow night, and managed to read through the first of three stacks of articles for writing my fourth comprehensive oral paper.
And today is Girl Day, so that means I get to go do some relaxing at My Girl's house. Watch a few episodes of Due South, enjoy her company, have a relaxed evening. Maybe even work on the lists of important things I've been assigned by the parents during my awesome Job/Thesis celebration dinner last night.
