Thinking on my feet today

Aug 28, 2008 13:51

Solved another potential disaster from red tape with a maybe two week quick fix. Paid my various and sundries, my suitcase is laying out on my bed all packed. I have more dresses for this weekend than I've worn in months. Plus, I threw in my school girl costume, which I may wear Sunday if I can find an Ouran iron on crest during Friday or Saturday. Tired from the run around, still need to hit up school tonight for more articles and evening class, too.

Dragon*Con you are just over twelve hours away. How can you feel like it is eons?

I've started falling in love with eBooks, to the elation of my addiction and the detriment of my elbow/wrist (and only once to the distraction of my research). Which combines with my thought process that there must be somewhere out there an EBook Reader which plays Mp3s or an Mp3 Player which reads EBooks, yes? Maybe? Because if I could get one of those combined it would be awesomtastic and kill two birds with one stone. I just need to make sure it has a high gb count to cover my music obsession. Advice? Help? Thoughts? Links?

On the count for things which are electronic, I love and will be packed off to Korea, my iBlaster is going to make an adorable ministereo, I realized and will take up not much space in my box/suitcase. Yay, music in the home! Yay, for gifts of old producing themselves and me realizing how cool it is and how ready I'm going to be.

On related not so good Korea note, I realized that I can't use Skype on my laptop because it is old and does not have a built in mic. At some point I must borrow a mic and see if that rectifies the situation, but it's another big star in my thoughts process of just holding a "help buy Amanda a new laptop fund" in lieu of presents from anyone for masters graduation or Christmas, since physical objects will be useless with the leaving two weeks later in one suitcase and box. (...which reminds me, My Girl said there was a wishlist on Dell and I should put together a computer one.)

Still feeling cranky, which helps nothing, but I'm feeling cranky in the pause between big storms now.

Going to make some tea and continue to calm myself and count down to D*C.

gaming, music, travel, books, lap top
