Taurus:"Woodsman Claims: 'Lady Bigfoot Kept Me as Her Love Slave!'" That was the headline of a report in the Weekly World News. In addition to providing fascinating details about the man's captivity, the article also had a helpful section on the jobs most likely to get someone kidnapped by a female Sasquatch. They included lumberjack, surveyor, landscape artist, and ornithologist. In my astrological opinion, that list should be amended, at least for the next few weeks, to note that Taurus lumberjacks, surveyors, landscape artists, and ornithologists are especially susceptible. Why do I say that? Because according to my projections, many of you Tauruses will be swept up in or profoundly influenced by powerful feminine energy.
Really not hard for me to see where this will fall into my life,
Uncle Rob, since today tomorrow morning I leave for a weekend long Goddess Festival. It was originally today, but I'm still feeling so out of it that it is hard to get simple things done like packing and organizing and remembering.
Yesterday I was out of it because I got only three or four hours in the morning and my day never seemed to end. It started with the Discount Tire, where they patch my tired for free. Turned out a screw had gotten lodged in it. Then there was the appointment of running My Girl to thrift stores, where we both found amazing stuff. I got some more professional school/work shirts and beads. My best finds, were the amazing deals of finding four colorful sarongs at $3 each (usually going at $15-$20 a piece) and two wrap pants and tie-top two-piece outfits for around $9 each (usually going for $40-$60 a piece).
Dropped her off, came home to unload, then headed out to Whole Foods where I priced organic products (tampons, sunscreen, shampoo, etc) and was saddened to realize they did not have a Moon Cup.
(For people out there on my flist using it, do you usually wear pads while wearing it? I had thought not, but if this turns out to be so I may need to start looking instead at alternate methods of going organic during that time. Help? Advice? Pads during-- Y/N?) Got a random phone call from Billy which had me wander across the shopping center to where he was having his late lunch hour. Talked to him for a while, then wandered Bed, Bath and Beyond and went home.
Planned to head for shopping when two different things happened: one, exhaustion hit finally like a pound of bricks and, two, mom called and asked me for lunch. Tried to stay awake, but settled for collapsing for thirty-two minutes. Had a fabulous dinner with Mom out, Applebee's has an amazing white sangria and shrimp n' avocado salad. Headed almost home, but decided I had to go shopping for camp food. As exhausted as I was, this turned out to be a very bad idea. I started at Wal-Mart where I priced sunscreen and sunhats, wandered around, thinking maybe HEB would be cheaper, stopped there bought only a few things, and ended up back at Wal-Mart. It took me two and half hours, walking around blearily. Did learn something’s though--
1. Wal-Mart is a lot cheaper than HEB.
2. HEB does not carry either [a) the variety of or b) any of] my specific organic food products.
3. Central Market organic milk is cheaper than Wal-Mart's.
4. Do not shop when exhausted. It takes far too much time up, even if there is no monetary flux to it.
Somehow between my confused head and my stubbornness I didn't end up in bed until around midnight either. Spent most of the night cranky (...except Puck!thread reading and the lovely smile-inducing
genarti). Then slept the sleep of the dead.
Woke up confused and realized I'd over slept through the first showing of my play. Called to reserve for the second only to realize it was canceled for the second showing. Fumed (at self) and pouted (at world). Got up, checked the mail, in which there was a package of my new experimental makeup. Marveled again at the nature of the fact pink really is my color, since I picked out all the lightest/palest shades of pink for this test run and all of them look right on me. Had one broken compact in it, which made me sad. Entire package getting led me to tossing out a lot of other make-up, too. Consider this my day that I said goodbye to crème shadows, too.
Wandered around, got about half-packed for the camping event, remembering once again I forgot to buy (and freeze) water for the cooler last night. Putter more. Cleaned some. Got extraordinarily cranky and out of it just puttering and packing. Looking over things I decided to start doing my homework for tonight, for the class I am teacher-excused from. The camp out doesn't have opening ritual (or the brunt of the heavy set-up work, like temple building) until tomorrow, so I'm reluctantly deciding not to leave until tomorrow (....instead of two hours ago).
I think more sleep will do me better in the long run. My play has another early showing tomorrow morning, too. And it means I'll be in class tonight (and all semester/month) instead of missing the one. I'm almost done with the homework, too, now. Which I do like. Hopefully I'll start feeling more human after I finished Manfred and take my nap and finish slowly, leisurely packing myself.
Also, the very merriest of birthday's to
