I found a sunblock stick akin in shape to chapstick for a little bigger with a 30SPF that is intended for faces. You just twist it up like you would a lip stick, and apply it to your face. There are three or four brands to choose from, but I got the one for sports for my kids, because it's not supposed to come off if they swim or sweat. I don't know how moisturizing it is, but I haven't really notices a scent to it, and it works really well.
Whether you use organic/natural products or no, Sunblock/sunscreen is something I would definitely buy organic. Chemical sunblocks and sunscreens have been shown to cause cancer, aggressively. (I had a close friend whose sister died from skin cancer, and it became her life cause to make certain everyone knew that - so it's a sensitive issue for me. :/) If you go to any organic/natural food store, they will have organic sunblocks up to 50 SPF. They are also less greasy, I've found. :) Good luck, hon!
I love organic (and having been trying to move that way a lot lately)! I intend to head over and check out the pro-organic feminine products so I'll just add that to the list of things I need to check out while I'm there.
Since you seem on top of this, anything else you can suggest in this arena I should start moving toward organically using would totally welcome advice too!
Sure thing! (If you ever have any questions about organic/natural, by the way, just message me. My family raised me 100% organic, and I've never stopped. :)
Anything you put on your skin is absorbed into your body - this can be anything from foundation to eye shadow to lotion... so everything that has harmful, chemical ingredients are getting absorbed into your blood stream. If you're going organic in the beginning, try replacing all of those things that go onto your skin with organic substitutes. Also, any vegetable or fruit that is mostly comprised of water (apple, lettuce, etc) will have a MUCH larger pesticide quantity, so try to switch those out early, too. :)
If you find a yoga place, let me know. Am halfway wanting the same thing. (But only halfway as the pregnancy has made me lazy...)
I can't help you on the sunscreen end of things as everything I've had as well as been heavily scented. Although the sprays aren't...too bad. They aren't moisturizing, I don't think. Have you checked Sun Harvest or Central Market? They might have something unscented or at least organically scented so that its not as heavy as say, Hawaiian Tropic.
OHOHOH in thinking I am reminded of something I saw a few years ago about yoga classes at a Hindu temple of sorts in town. I'll hit google and see if I can't find it again.
Er...not exactly what I remember, but I ran across this. Maybe its close to what you want?
That does indeed look interesting, and with the 50% student discount the price per month might not be bad at all. I think I will have to run down and check out it out sometime!
I like the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock. Works really well, comes in spf 55 and 70, leaves no greasy feeling on your skin and blocks UBA and UVB.
Actually, Base, Foundation, whatever you wanna call it... makeup, in short, is 45 SPF. It's better for your skin really than any sunscreen you'd be putting on, because I think a lot of times they put moisturizers in there too.

Hope that helps.
