Spoiler warnings to anyone in my comments who is not up to the current on Avatar, because am addressing here!

Ooooh. *grins* Umm. Season one it is a lot of fluffy stand alones and I totally almost gave up, but I didn't because so many Mwayers and people I know and like and respect rave about it, so I was all, wait it out, things will add up. And the last few eps did a little.

But then season two was like mad dash for the crack, as storyline arcs and season ahead foreshadowing began to emerge, and 'previously ons' became high important to reminding one about comments to be made soon. And season three umm, sort of vanished beneath the waves very, very, very quickly, and it was of the awesome and the truly horrid (the horrid part being Amanda realizing when the date of the next episodes is)

And Zuko's tale was predictable from the beginning, but I totally loved the going back home part, and his anticlimactic speech of let-me-join-you was so anticlimatic it made me love absolutely everyone involved in it. Plus I love Zuko-Mai (which is possibly why I can not ship Zatara) because they were so disfunctionally adorable with their "I don't hate you" statements. And I want the uncle back naowpleaskthanks. Because he is ultimately amazing...and talks of tea!

I love the trio of girls, but even more I squeed loudly at the last interactions of them, with both Mai and Ty Lee's choices. Because yay, look at us creating the division and the people making the right choices for the right reasons even in the wrong situations, where they won't help us. Hurray for human moments.

Katara I adore. And I really want an icon of her when she's holding Aang, from.....you know picking an episode or period when done this fast is impossible...I think it's from when he discovers the bodies. It the scene where he makes the big bright avatar bubble, and everyone runs, except her. And she walks up into it and grabs his hand and pulls him down and just holds him. I want an icon of that ending part because her character was highly cemented in that moment for me.

I do love Sokka. Why? Because he's Xander in a many ways, and yet not. He's the older brother, and the warrior. The person without powers. And I adore his whining and his laziness. And totally was impressed with the episode where he found himself a sword master, and was impressed with the show for the point that everyone is important in the same ways for the talents they do have, there is no real division of power to no nopower with importance.

Toph amuses me. Because we must punch things if people look too emotional or like they might be heading that way. Also? They way she uses her powers totally redefined for me what one could do with a bending power, which in my book the show won't last long enough to explore entirely....but there are so many tangential ways to start looking at each of the elements and what you could do or sense through them, based on how she does.

Aang I sort of adore. Hard core. Cause he's very woobie and god and like five but still older at the sametime and so had a crush this whole time and is stepping up to the plate that is bigger than he should have to but doing it anyway. I love that he keeps everyone's innocence for them and makes them have fun, have vacation, travel to do fun activities. It makes his dynamic so much bigger as a person who simply is the avatar and has their own personality, instead of being this is the person who has to outgrow who they are to become the person they're supposed to be.

Wow. I'm rambling? I give you this for Avatar blather round one?

Extended Avatar rambling is ALWAYS something I am happy to hear, because I am in full and total love with the show. *giggles*

Zuko's tale is predictable, yeah, but I love how the makers totally recognize the predictability and the overANGST and play it up - "STRIKE ME, LIGHTNING!" back in s2 is one of the funniest scenes in the whole series. And I am so with you on Zuko and Mai being adorable, as well as Mai and Ty Lee - the Dangerous Ladies are among my favorite characters of ALL TIME. Yes, all of them, including Azula, the most badass sociopath of all time.

(And I love the choice at the end of the most recent episode an incredible amount. But I am still a tiny bit sad that there will be no more Ty Lee-Azula adorable, either.)

As for the GAang . . . oh, I love them all ridiculous amounts. Sokka and Toph are my favorites, because they play very specifically into types that I like anyways and then do it better - I so often get frustrated when shows have a Xander-type, an unpowered comic relief character, because they so rarely let them be competent, and it makes me angry on that character's behalf. I actually think Jet is the episode that sold me on the show, because that is when I realized they were going to actually let Sokka be competent and intelligent as well as being the comic relief, and I love that! But Katara and Aang are also awesome, and, in conclusion, I really . . . have a hard time thinking of a character on the show I don't like. Except for the ones we're rightfully supposed to hate, and sometimes even then (see: Azula, and awesome.)

. . . and as you see, I, too, am incapable of stopping myself from blathering about Avatar. *giggles*

I do have admit I will be sad to see the dangerous ladies fall apart. (Unless this leads to something random like the creation of my mind of a brand new trio with like Mai, Ty Lee, and Suki.......because, related and not, Suki is alslo among the brilliant of woman I love in this show).

I am not massively against Azula at all, but I blame this like most things in my life on the fact I really love realistic characters who belong to their backgrounds. She strikes me very much as being the person she's supposed to be in the position she's supposed to be in. Spoiled, brilliant mind, genius-touched powerful....with friends and famiyl she manipulates (let me not begin to explain how much I want to know how she and her father or she and her fathers highest ranking people interact. O, please, o, please now?) I do likes her, even if she is crazy....and I would keep her in a small box far from everyone else.

Zuko-angst I feel is it's own character even beyond Zuko, for it is so beautiful and widely shared. I do love the angst for angst sake with him. When he's joined the group or the fire nation, the boy has one massively beautiful personal self-ostracizing program going on. Which may be why I've loved seeing him start working with/relying on Aang and Sokka. Also, I may possibly be amused and loving on him more with the shaggy hair.

It is far too long until there is more. *pouts* I demand more. Even if it hasn't been a full week of waiting for me yet.

Who plays who in Mways?I mean I noticed last week that most everyone is long gone, and I can only really vaguely remember seeing Mai and Zuko that I remember personally during the last long while. So who plays who and where and what? And what things have happened to them that is known in Mways?

(Dude, I have to say, that would be fabulous. And allow for more Zuko-Sokka bonding! Albeit mostly along the lines of 'plz help???')

OH ME TOO. I would adore seeing their war meetings. And yes, she is exactly suited for her role, and let's face it, according to current Fire Nation values, she would make a perfect Firelord.

My feelings for Zuko currently can amply be summed up by "GIANT DORK! *squishes*" And yes I agreee. Though I am staving off sadness by watching through it again with friends who haven't yet seen it all, but that will not last forever!

Ummm. I am not entirely up on the latest - Mandy plays Zuko, and Ana plays Mai, and I think Kyle still plays Azula. Other than that, I don't think anyone is left. And Zuko is the one of the three with the most backstory - he had the whole relationship with Steph, which is what I remember best, and there was also something going on with training with Sylar, I believe. And there has been other stuff, that I cannot remember now!

(It so would. And then Ty Lee would be showing off moves to Suki, who would actually see the gymnastic-ness(?) as something that could be incorporated into fighting that could be trained, minimally. And Ty Lee would be with other girls she could glee and be glittery cheerful at.

It all goes tangential in my mind! Because Zuko-Sokka bonding with girls in range, leads me to a dating help conversations which would be telling them to stop interrupting and being like 'help, naow, plz?' for your things. It would be adorable and Aang would totally not be hanging by the side listening, and have to pop in with a question some where in the middle or end.)

Sad, sad, sad. We should see more of the evil Firelord plotting and doom. *woes* Because Azula would be crazy brilliant in it, and her father would be the same, if not excessively more, since the man has managed to keep his position for years heedless of country or family members. Which really saying that line, Azula so has a daddy complex likely hidden somewhere. It was Zuko = mom, Azula = dad, which makes a lot of sense in the end. Dad was willing to get rid of mom and to hurt his son, which makes sense for why Azula would never see anything wrong with her actions to friends, family, soldiers, or otherwise.

I am debating whether I will end up buying a kept copy. I will probably add it to my amazon list and let it float around for a while. I am, also, considering who I can make watch it to see it through again for detail watching, too.
