Finished the first draft of my Elizabeth I panel presentation final paper. It's done a complete overhaul since it's inception months ago. First paper to ever do that in five/six years, but really the requirements demanded much change from my first ideas. I'm grateful to have draft one out of the way, now I'll leave it be until tomorrow with the teacher, at least, and then the weekend before final revisions.
Went out to a very long dinner with Lavern, where she told all about the TPR trip to China and slightly about the trip to California afterwards. Her trip sounds utterly amazing (and makes me want to purchase my two specific Korea books already). From her trip she brought me back a whole bag full of stuff-- two sets of chopsticks in silken holders, a small chocolate terra cotta warrior, a fan made from pure sandalwood and painted with a cherry blossom motif (!!!), and then four small containers of tea (1- Chamomile full flower heads, 2 - loose green on the bottom, five flowering tea balls on top, 3 - rose full flower heads on top, one flowering tea ball in the middle, loose jasmine on the bottom, 4 - I am uncertain. Something green and rich). We talked for a long time into the evening, enjoyed a meal we both haven't had in forever and parted hours after we originally intended. It was nice to finally catch up with her after a month or two.
I'm truly flying through Dark is Rising and beginning to vaguely be curious about whether I'll finish it this week. Presently it's taken over the spot Sailor Moon episodes had. As that thing that distracts me for about thirty minutes in between all the writing and research, which gives my mind and my attention span a break. Finished the second a few minutes ago, will either start three tonight or tomorrow (since terrifically, I don't start writing the next paper until Friday morning).
full_moon_swaps is going on hiatus, and it really only sounds like it'll be the next month, but it makes me a little pouty. Which I can say here and won't there. Because it's a selfish, love to do this every month, and there won't be a May one, pouty. Not a their doing anything wrong pouty. Because honestly, it probably is time for an overhaul and some experimentation. Time for some growing and stretching and growing pains and learning to walk and fly in new ways. I will peruse comments over thataway when I can around finals and upcoming plans.
Oh, and, also,
thewinteroak your package arrived today. Or at least I assume it is yours, since you are the person who sends me green wrapped things. I am pretty positive though, but they are sitting on my shelf waiting for my birthday morning and I did not glance the order sheet for fear of peek at the surprises. I just thought I'd let you know after Amazon being all hiccup-fu-unhelpful.
More people should guess in the lying meme, too! And with that, and the lateness of the time, I am off to bed.
Love to you all
