Rust --
I stopped taking my monthly migraine medicine less than ten hours ago and my head is beginning to hurt already. It shouldn't be possible that the medicine/hormone/thingy it releases into my system can even be missing that much in such a short time. *frumps*
I suppose I will try to be hopeful about my new prescription and look into its cost tomorrow.
Stardust --
Remember the orchids I bought myself? When I bought them they were long cut stalks with many unopened pods at the top. I picked them up all hopeful, but the flower shop worker told me that orchids once they were cut very rarely ever opened anymore blossoms. I was bummed, but deciding the pretty meant I would buy them anyway, asked how long they were expected to live. She told me five or six days.
My orchids are apparently the rare exception?
They are starting into their third week of sitting in the center of my kitchen table. They are vibrant purple and white still. The original buds have all blossomed wide, shriveled and died. The pods/buds meanwhile have all been slowly opening and producing bright, big orchid flowers like the ones before it. I've been watching two of them slowly purple and open for three days. And there are about three or four left beyond those. While at the same time there are nine or ten big bright ones still not showing a sign toward wilt yet.
Apparently the blessings are on my table when it has flowers.
