Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1. My family's most original tradition's during this time is the Christmas Mouse (who brings you new pj's and slippers on Christmas Eve) and a recipe for an amazing Cranberry Orange Bread. Pass down a tradition or recipe that is a hallmark in your family to me this year.
2. How about sending me a copy (used is fine) of your favorite book or books? I always love finding a new treasure of writing. Also, anything from my
Amazon Wish list would be really cool. I'm still on the hunt for getting all 2-disc sets of Disney DVD's and can never have too many books.
3. I'd love anything from my BPal Wish Lists as well --
Imp Wish List,
Bottle Wish List or
Tal Wish lists. This is really a mixed hat for me, as I'm just into the swing of trying all the various things more than anything. So if you have imps that just aren't loved I'd love trying out some new ones.
4. Fulfill a wish of someone on your friend's list who isn't often gifted and touched by the circle of Livejournal.
5. Something random that combines blue and silver. Or dragons. Or Unconditional Love. It can be combined with anything after that and be in any format. Feel free to do anything that comes to mind from online to solid objects. Go crazy and enjoy.
6. Comic shirts and crazy socks have been winners at the LJ Christmas lists before this one, as well. I'm still a big fan of comic shirts and crazy socks. I'm a size small frequently in the boy cut shirts but I love comics shirts in any size, still sleeping in the Death Shirt I was gifted last year.
7. Snow.
8. A new Livejournal lay out using images from The Witching Hour by Tim Sale/Jeff Loeb. I have the entire three issue comic scanned on my hard drive if anyone is up for this. Or even just wants to see it and find out why I'm so enamored with it.
9. Write for me Jared/The Ninth Doctor (Pretender/Doctor Who), Tyr/Ronin (Andromeda/Stargate: Atlantis), Dylan & Mal (Andromeda/FireFly), Bebop/Firefly, or Evil!Mamoru/Kunzite. These are my most random fic requests because they pop up during the year when they know groups really aren't in connection with them. I do love them though and they're fun to poke at. So if one seems intriguing to you feel free to play with it.
10. Earrings are pretty much my random thing focus at the moment. I love bohemian to fancy, but I rarely spend more than three dollars on a pair of earrings. Ever. I really would like to have more of a collection of them though, especially dangly/chandelier types because that is the kind I have the least of. If you're doing this one, feel free to even choose a set you might not be wearing as much anymore over buying a set. After all, they're new to me either way.
E-mail me at wanderlustlover@gmail.com if you need my address for anything, or if you want to send something as a surprise without me knowing, bug My Girl/
sageness.
Also, I'm not sure who has done this so far though I have seen a handful float through my friend's list. If you want me to see yours and add it to my link list, please comment with a link here.
