Wednesday, Wednesday....cord winding tighter...
Taurus: Early in his film career, actor Oliver Hardy often played the parts of bad guys. But when he joined with Stan Laurel to collaborate on their series of comedic movies, he became a likable buffoon. I predict you'll soon be the beneficiary of a comparable conversion, Taurus. Some troubling or adversarial influence in your life will become warmer and fuzzier, maybe even downright helpful and amusing. The psychological term for a conversion this dramatic is enantiodromia. - Let this be about my crazy professor? Please? Oh, pretty, pretty, please? I'd like the next five weeks to not be full of utter insanity. I really doubt it. It sounds a lot like the further changing relationships I'm having with Dr. Mustain, preferably called "Meagan", and Professor Donnelly, who's preferably "Uncle Patrick". As my senior year is about to reach it's medial I'm realized all my professor I respect the most are treating me as solely an adult now, instead of a student. Everything with these two is making my entire life at school seems so very different, especially in parallel to the crazy one.
- Computer Purge AKA Omg, When Did I Get This Many Icons? I mean, c'mon. I know I like collecting things. And I really love art, which means collecting icons is just natural, which meant I knew I own thousands of icons I'd been collecting since beginning Livejournal which had rarely been purged since that beginning. I always have so many handfuls that aren’t amazing anymore as the art of creators has improved so I finally decided to take two days and clear it out. Plus, it's always been huge because I keep it so organized. So here's what the last two days have done:
"Icon" Folder Stats --
Beginning Properties: 330 MB / 7,981 files / 220 subfolders
Ending Properties: 28.5 MB / 2,784 files / 150 subfolders
The most ironic/amusing part of this? I'm still only using 106 of my 134 icon spots.
I think I have five more I may add shortly though.
Or two. Can you tell even my impulsiveness is run through my almost-OCD?
- Yesterday was nine hours of working in the theatre. Got to see a full running of the Archbishop's Ceiling now, which will make it fine to be behind curtain through the entire public release. Billy's sound operator and I'm part of the running crew for this production, which will be giving him a grade but it'll come off as wonderful amounts of community service for me on graduate school applications. The play, in general, wasn't too bad but I think there are still some kinks to be working out before opening night on Friday.
I wonder if today will be another long night or we'll actually get a break until the mid-evening will call.
.....with the wonderful fantasies of devious way to distract my boyfriend behind curtain during rehearsal.
