Woke up early this morning, to the sunshine flooding through the window over my bed, grown even more accustom and joyful about having the sun and moon rise pouring down on to my sleeping figure. I wandered around my apartment half-clothed while checking up on things that needed doing for today and tomorrow. I even made it through writing a post for one my games before needing to run off toward my days plans.
I stopped by Billy's (
rasfael) house first to drop of his new heating pad, he'd left during the dinner the night before (Psst
itsaslashything, I made the Tilapia dipped in first a mixture of egg and white wine, then dipped in garlic-rosemary-corn meal mixture before pan frying. It was fabulous and we both loved it.). I rand the door to his mother (which roused him from sleep as well), who gave us both an apology for her huffy mood days ago, and who sent me off with four slices each Danish Butter cake and Marbled Butter cake.
I ran off to Christine's (
gypsytemptress) where we waited for Doug before heading off to the duplex, picking up her brother on the way. I had assumed today was for cleaning, but that was not nearly as prevalent as moving out the rest of her stuff when we arrived. We loaded Doug's truck with the furniture bound for Goodwill Donations, while waiting for Christine's brother to return with her car. Arriving back we cleaned and boxed more, so that once Eric returned we were able to drop them back at their home, catch a sensible lunch at Wendy's (salad, chili, and chicken nuggets), and return to pack boxes.
It took one round of just her car first, then one of both our cars, and then a last round of her car alone once I'd left for school. It was a blast getting to spend as much time with her, talking in the house, working together, laughing and relating about whats been going on in our lives. Heavy lifting, medium cleaning, and a bit of hot, sweaty, dirty skin later she's all moved out. Midnight tonight we'll no longer be tenants. I retrieved my green jacket, a bowl, and duster, while getting to take from donation/trash of her stuff a large, really soft yellow pillow and Brita container for my fridge.
I left for school when she left back for her last trip to the house, so that now I'm sitting in Theology Class and she's at her new home unpacking boxes. Class has pretty much been boring today. I made an A on my homework from last week and a B+ on my first test of the semester. No interesting conversations except the 'there are not marriages in heaven' one. I'm just not in the classroom at all tonight, but floating inside the ether resplendent, waiting, wonderful.
I liked my hard working day. I feel it's preparing me to feel ready for my celebration tomorrow. Tomorrow already feels rightfully ready for a premeditated bath, ritual and protection works throughout my house. As well as fresh fruits and new baked bread, side-by-side with sweet preserves and wine. And a gathering to finish it off, with like-minded people who are attuned to the season as well.
Love to you all
