She felt the desperation permeating every inch of her skin. Tears welled at the edges of her eyes as they shoved tubes down her throat and tightened leather bands at her wrists with sharp silver buckles. Plastic sticky pieces were being attached to her skin, causing her to shiver with terrified anticipation, even as all her focus was drawn into her mind. Searching, seeking, reaching outward singularly to him through her thoughts.
Promise, she pleaded, No matter the pain, or the pleading. No matter what they do to me, you won't come.
Not until you know I'm sane and it's safe.
Fine, came the growl seconds later, filling her body to her toes with relieved and frigid abandonment. Making her entirely aware of the fact she was being looked down upon from the stance of a leader or parent as a child making a hard and possibly very bad decision.
