Strangely, I actually am slightly tired...
I've written three pages of notes for my homework assign within the Gospel of Mark. There are questions raising in my mind from minor phrasing of sentences, but for the most part I haven't been all that interested in what was going on. I know most of these stories from middle childhood and they don't seem all that more full of revelation for reading three or five pages of author-drive postulation after each pericope. It just makes me feel like someone's taken the Jane or Spot books and written in pages what I understood in the original paragraph. I feel like this book is dumbing me down.
Do people really have troubles understanding these parables?
A little hungry, but it'll pass since I'm going to bed shortly. Need to visit the management in the morning about my appointment tomorrow. Hopefully it won't interfere with my going to Christine’s. I need to move the computer, do a once over on the bathroom and consider vacuuming the bedroom still. Though maybe I shouldn't since Christine said she wouldn't be vacuuming the house carpet since the rental people are replacing it. I already have a whole load of boxes in my car that I’m taking to her tomorrow. Probably fit one or two more stacks in there before I head over tomorrow.
Already not looking too terrible forward to my four hour class tomorrow night. I really wish there'd been something available in a different time slot for this semester. But then it's been in a perfect timeslot for dealing with all the mess up, tripping, and emergencies of the last week with the move. Plus, it won't interfere with the study dates.
I think I've decided on the evening of July 28th being my house warming party for this place. It's huge and spacious so there's room for lots of people to meander around or sit on chairs, couches, bean bag, and floor. Also thinking it should be potluck and on for a good portion of evening so long as I adhere to the rules of the community.
On top of that I'm going to try and organize a Corner Dinner for sometime later this week. Thursday or Friday night is looking to be the best for me so far, since I'm probably out of town for the weekend. Anyone else with opinions on it? Or on either of the plans?
Going to go find pj's and try to sleep.
