So far away

Jun 15, 2011 13:23

The sun rises over my fair town
Showering me in light chasing away my frown
It’s job is done well, but my heart still yearns
It’s heat is soothing, but your absence still burns

The things you have watched and the places you’ve been
The smells in your nose, the tan on your skin
I can not compare to such dazzlnig delight
And yet I tried boldly to hold you tight.

As shadows grow long, and day becomes short
I look cross the bay for ships now in port
Perchance you are comming as dusk grows to night
And I get to hold you and know things are right.
