Oh no, I think I got that? The first couple episodes are so intense but that's when I remember going, okay show, you and me are going to get along realllly well. The Olivia Dunham System is stunning, yes. ♥ She knows what's in front of her and she takes it on without hesitation. It was so believable that she wasn't afraid of anything anymore in "Jacksonville" - legitimately one of the female heroines who actually is fearless, and for good reason. The show's characterisation of her is awesome (...I wonder why they can't do the same with Peter*) and I will forever applaud the writers.

* Well, okay. It's probably due to the fact that this show is sci-fi and so had to ~tread the waters of viewership before figuring out what the audience was liking and leaning toward. Lots of darker episodes with Peter, idk, getting beat up and tracked and what else obviously got scrapped in favour of monster of the week, because it's comfortable. Even though I hate monster of the week - you too, right? Especially the episode with the mutant baby, dnw. SO MUCH X-FILES IN THAT EPISODE. I think I've watched three episodes of X-Files and holy crap, I could see the rip-off from miles away. The Supernatural bent as well. I'm always fascinated by Peter. His and Walter's relationship is one of my favourite things, and since the writers got that up to working (I don't really know how; it just seemed like he chose Olivia and orig!Walter's universe so everything's dandy). Read the post linked by such-heights and PRETTY MUCH YES. I'm afraid to comment because I will be like JAKSLDJF ALL OF THIS like the incoherent fangirl that I am, but also yes. So much secondhand embarrassment if this show is serious business about Peter choosing. (lulz, "I choose me.") Maybe they're afraid of cancellation? Maybe they're trying to give themselves an out? But at least I don't trust Sam Weiss and I don't really think Peter and Olivia are in love and if they kill off Altlivia and Lincoln and Charlie, there will be much raging. wtf.

LOL Fringe. This show. He's still fabulous, though. Have you heard him talk about his relationship with Diane Kruger?

There's some lovely k-indie I'll probably post to mys, since I'm out of ideas. Other than an Ellie Goulding post. But yeah if you want it now rather than later, I can upload it! I'm about to post one of their music videos on Tumblr - Standing Egg, if you want to check it out.

Yup, I am not a big fan of the whole Monster of the Week/casefile of the week thing; I mostly get through it for the sake of all of the other awesome stuff that happens on Fringe. Sigh. Imagine what they could do with the plotting if they didn't have to spend 75% of the episode time doing the monster of the week!

"I choose me" = ONE OF THE GREATEST THINGS THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED ON THE INTERNET.

Oh man, I was reading your tumblr the other day on your view of Peter/Olivia, and it made me think a lot about their relationship. To be totally honest, I do ship Peter/Olivia, but I don't think it's the be-all end-all. Like you said, I don't think they're in love. I have a hard time imagining our Olivia and Peter in a real, functioning relationship, actually. I think that they do love each other in a way, that there's a tenderness between them, that Peter will always be there for her with a smile and that Olivia needs that. They were certainly moving towards something during S2, and maybe they could have loved each other, given time. But now that Peter/Altlivia has happened, I don't know if they can ever recover, and I don't want Olivia to have to go through the pain of trying to get over a betrayal like that just because the writers decided it.

Anyway! No more thoughts until you tell me you've seen this week's ep, I don't want to spoil you. :D

Doesn't matter! I can just wait for the post, no problem. I will give it a try when it goes up -- before this year I couldn't actually listen to non-English music at all, but then a friend got me into Asian Kung-fu Generation (I know, I know) and now I'm excited to try out more non-English stuff.

I has an Olivia icon! This comment just became a little more appropriate. :) I agree, they do some cool things with those kind of episodes, even if I'm not such a fan of the content. Ahh! ASTRID! Astrid/screentime otp.

HAHAHAH it still makes me laugh. Plus whiny Meredith going, "Pick me, choose me, love me" is such the opposite of what either Olivia would do so no. I'm still processing Peter/Olivia. I kind of shipped it from the beginning? Because it's just ... one of those kind of ships that you kind of get spoiled for beforehand so you see everything with shipper goggles? I think they need each other, and that Peter does belong with Olivia in a sense that she needs him in her universe. Aww Peter and his ready smiles no matter how he's feeling. :) It's interesting because Altlivia's got his baby, right, so that choice has to be paternal or romantic, while with Olivia it's currently not the romantic it could have been because of Altlivia, or it's a partner thing. Different kinds of loves. Poor Olivia, honestly. :( :( My happy mind has Altlivia with Lincoln, Peter and Olivia being partners and alt!Charlie all in one universe. I actually miss Charlie that much.

Right so I've seen it! As you can gather, lol. The pregnant thing, I knew it was going to happen because Peter being a father and all that, and Frank had to leave somehow. Poor guy.

I'm actually posting Abigail Washburn and Decemberists instead because they are updates that need to happen to mys! Oh oh oh there's always a gateway. Somewhere. I thought the same thing and now some days my iTunes is stuck on kpop playlists. :D It's definitely ... interesting? You listen to music differently, for sure. Seriously I should get some Asian Kung-fu Generation. Anything you like in particular?
