Making Good Scents

May 23, 2007 13:15

My co-worker, Jen Walker, has just placed a bouquet of peonies on my desk. They grow in abundance on a property her husband owns and, as they are well-established flowers, she has brought in a generous cluster to brighten up the neutral decor of the foyer. They smell amazing with a deep heady frangrance, large soft petals, rich color ( mellow magenta, vivid pink, buttery white, ivory, pale pink); if I could bottle this scent I would in a heartbeat. But, if I keep inhaling them, I think really will pass out. It was very sweet of her. I wish I could grow flowers like that. The again a concrete balcony is only good for potted plants and those grow at a questionable rate.

Also, I went to the Balticon website and...I think I want to go again this year. I suppose I could ask Alex? I'm not sure if it's his think, but he is a Major Geek so...who knows.
