I've been discussing this with another LJ friend. The layout I'm using doesn't seem to feature this, but I had someone like my post the other day and can't work out who (or where to see it). I'm not overly keen on it, for the reasons you have stated.

Yes! I got the email notification and all it said was "someone"...care to tell me who LJ?

Were you able to find it? I first saw who 'liked' me on my mobile desktop version.

I had to go through the mobile browser (not app) and was able to see who 'liked' my posts, haha. And then the desktop version as well!

I couldn't see it through the mobile browser either. I guess I'll just never know ;)
