As of 9 am yesterday I was knocked out with anasthesa* and put under the knife to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. Yeah...ouch.
But I got to see pictures and Dr. Lee (my dentist/surgion) wondered how I went so long with the pain. My right bottom wisdom tooth was on it's side, pointing forward and down towards the root of it's neighboring tooth and one of the roots was starting to grow through the gum...lovely. The two top ones were just being jerks and squishing everyone else out of the way...the on on my left cracking my crown, that, after a month of healing, I get to see my main dentist...Dr. Shinniner* to have it fixed. My bottom left wisdom tooth though...really scared him like it's neighbor across the way. A person has very fine nerves that run along the bottom of your jaw...in a tunnle like thing and the root to this too was touching the nerve. He was scared that if I had even waited a few more weeks, the root could have grown around nerve and I would have been in a lot of trouble, as i could have had nerve damage, which leads to tingling and numbness of the lower face and tounge.
Anyway.
All teeth are removed and I'm still in major pain. Gah. I was supposed to eat soild foods today..only at luke-warm temps, but I tried that and can't even chew b/c it hurts to bad. I called Dr. Lee and he said b/c the bottom teeth were so bad, I wouldn't be able to eat solid food till at least sunday night, maybe not even until monday.
So good thing is ... i get frozen yourget!!! and bake potatos and pudding...that's it.
Gah. Anyway.
