I often tend to glance at the random "news, but not always hard-core news" stories that show up on Yahoo above the really depressing section of important / international news. Today, that means I caught

Now, I'm all for green energy. Absolutely. But I'm confused. I thought hybrids had pretty bad mileage in stop-and-go city traffic. I mean, they're definitely better than some of the gas-guzzlers out there... but wouldn't a highly efficient tradiational car do better than a hybrid in most cases?
Can someone explain this to me? Thanks.
EDIT: And, apparently, the real answer is that my brain swapped things on me and forgot to mention it. I had hybrid highway and city driving efficiencies backward. It makes perfect sense once I switch them back. Doh!
