I think I've been on too long and now want to see waaayyy too many animes. Although that might not be a bad thing... anyway, today has been calm. Went to the library, cleaned the bathroom, caught a gas leak (a gasket holding a filter broke and the repair was free), laughed over Top Gear (it was the episode where they made aqua-cars and then had to drive them two miles plus sail them for another two, it was amazing) and went over to the used book store and picked up a nice copy of Trickster's Queen by Tamora Pierce. I have learned to never look for anything in particular in that store, just look through all the young adult and all the manga to see if anything I want is there, usually I end up buying stuff that is pretty far down my buying list which doesn't bother me at all since it's so cheap. Also, I finally found their anime section there and, while most of the DVDs cost more than I usually bring with me, I will need to remember to look through everything there as well in the future.
Let's see, school for the past few days. Well, my new English teacher (all of the senior english courses except for AP are only one symester long and we switched on Friday) is, um, if anyone here has seen the first High School Musical, think of the drama teacher and take her down by half. My teacher is almost the stereo-typical english teacher (for those who are curious I am now taking short story), drama, makes references to books half the class hasn't read (actually, I don't know if ANYONE in the class has read Agetha Cristie), and doesn't seem to quite get high schoolers. Apparently she used to teach drama here, but that must've been a number of years back since I've never even heard of the school having a drama class (but I did know she used to teach here, I saw it on the computer screen of one of the yearbook people). Add this to the fact that we have some of the biggest trouble makers (/the annoying guy in my religion class sophomore year, I severely dislike that guy, and hey, half my math class is here too) this class will be, interesting. Now, if only I can switch from my front and center seat (curse you seating charts/alphabetical orders)!
In other news, Herr Ducky was back at school, apparently he had some really contagious eye virus and had spent Thursday having a panic attack as the eye technicians used, I think acid to get it out of his eye. Now seriously, I have a hard time imagining him having a heart attack since he's usually so level-headed (well, he was really hyper the other day, but 24 had just come back on and you could taste the sugar in the air, history extra credit day) that if must've been some really bad pain.
Let's see, what else... well, my friend Donna (whom I'll most likely be working with for the Fine Art Day project, so glad we already recruited shader to help us, lord knows we need three and half months if we do an animation or claymation... we are screwed!). In other avatar news, avatar movie news, here's a really good
blog post on the casting. Grr, and the avatar_fans community has some new interviews and I think I need to get an angry mob together, it's looking just that bad.
Well, no time to do that tonight, signing off!
