... running through the streets, in the dark, carrying my rechargeable flashlight and wearing my slippers? Okay, I wasn't wearing JUST my slippers, shame on you if you think I was...
Yeah, Leigh just left and had a hard time getting her grandmother to find my house, so she just ended up walking down part of my street in the dark, being a friend and host I was obliged to run after her and yeah, hence another odd moment of my life. In the end Leigh was the only friend able to see Twilight with me, Phantom is suffering from what the doctors think is Peripheral Vertigo, so she keeps having fainting spells, Sarah had no transportation, I still can't even get an answer from AC, and shader's parents went through the roof it sounds like, they thought that they would have to drive her everywhere (which they wouldn't have actually, I had this all planned out, maybe that was the problem) so she couldn't come either.
So Twilight, it was okay, OMG did we have a lot of promos before it though, like 15 minutes of 4 minute long trailers. And none of them were even marketed at the right audience. All of these trailers were half explosions, half hot girls, and 90% of the room was female. It's an older theater so it wasn't full by any standard, but I noticed something amusing. All except 2 or 3 groups were exactly the same, two girls, one usually with her hair dyed black, sitting next to each other, and no one else would be sitting in the row. We did have a lot of room, but I just thought that the similarities were amusing. For the movie itself, the acting seemed kinda forced with some of the more minor characters and there seemed to be mike trouble as well, but Leigh and I suspected that it was the theater, not the movie, since I'm sure they would have just re-shot the scene if the mikes were wonky.
I was hoping to do an anime review segment today, but between the movie, my brother on the computer, and Artemis Fowl (shader lent me the sixth book, the latest one, and I was re-discovering why I liked this series so much) that I don't think I have time. Maybe if I start typing it now and finish tomorrow...
Signing off!
