August 6th: Getting better at time management...
But only slightly, not sure how much longer I have (but my mom is talking with Ted so I'll probably get more than I was supposed to) so I'm going to start typing now.
And probably don't have much time, darn. Well first off, my mom and I have a bet. I showed a picture earlier and asked if Monty Python had ever done a skit on the Spanish Inquisition and she said yes, it was one of their more famous ones. We watched it on youtube, and she, rather rashly, said that if I asked my dad "Hey dad, do you know anything about the Spanish Inquisition" and he DIDN'T answer "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!" that I get 10 bucks. I give myself a 50-50 chance, and thankfully I won't lose money on it.
Finished reading (re-reading?) The Blue Sword today, I stayed up way too late last night reading it (no I didn't finish it then) and this makes the third (or fourth) book I've read completely in the past three days. I'm hoping I run out soon because they keep distracting me from my Senior Project! Actually, the spider I saw yesterday in my room had something to do with that too... not the books, the project. I found another spider in my room (there are so many of them near my house!) and since my brother was not sucessful in killing it, I stayed away from the area, which included all of my career books. Some of those books were heavy so I didn't feel like moving them and besides, who wants to work on those? Yes yes I will work on it tonight, but research just isn't fun. Well, unless you decide to research something on your own, but thats because it's interesting to you and therefore not boring, a moot point in any case.
Anyway, still hot outside so I didn't really go out today, need to water my tomatoe plants, a task which has become much more complicated after I put the bug netting over it, hoping to deter the squirels, no idea if it has worked or not. I'm hoping it cools down, not only so I can go outside and not start complaining of an opressive headache, but I'm also getting worried about the electric bill. I don't pay it, thank god, but it's going to be kinda high from all the AC, looks like we'll have to wait until October for a new toilet (thank goodness it's not seriously broken, but since I keep breaking the lid, it's inefficant, and pink, we do want another one).
Been watching Code Geass and Shugo Chara (I need someone to sub episodes 43, transformations for the win!). Actually, I've had to watch the low quality subs since the episodes aren't on crunchyroll yet, but I think I'll re-watch them when they're uploaded. My mom and I have been meaning to watch The Cat Returns as well, but we went to my school last night for the book sell back (my god, okay, I acknowledge that I'm small but it's more than that, my classmates somehow look, filled out, they look much more like 17 or 18 than I do and I'm one of the oldest! no wonder no one can get my age right) so we had no time then, and Project Runway is on tonight, plus I'm taping Mythbusters at the same time so we have to wait until tomorrow. No idea if we'll even have time then, my mom has a lot of meetings.
