May 16th: Fine Arts Day!
Well FAD was a blast, I only went to one of my normal eight classes (and that is because my history teacher is evil, but we did discuss the end of the world!). I got sunburned unfortuantly (and my mom just got me this huge pack or sunscreen wipes, I can't find them!) and my mom came for a bit. I helped set up tetris first period (and thank god the AP Music Theory kids knew how to take apart that convtration they made for it, us art geeks had no idea!). I got pictures of some of the sidewalk chalk, almost (if not all) the tetris boards, video of people playing human tetris, shots of the formerly-a-maze-now-a-tent-with-free-food!, the fashion show, I took a three part video of the animation shader, ac, and cg made (although it took them a while to figure out how to work the computer, apparently someone else had come running out of the room earlier yelling "WE HAVE NO SOUND!"), and some video of the chorus preforming (let's see, they did the beginning music of POTC III, Halo, and "That's how you know" from Enchanted). So lots of photos, lots of videos, lots of fun.
But I did have one technical glitch, actually two. One is that my camera refuses to take videos longer than a moment long now, at last year's FAD it took one for 18 minutes! And my dad (or maybe it was my mom...) got me a new memory card for Christmas, a 4 Gig one, and I tried it out last night and guess what, not compatiable with my camera! It needs to have something on it called SDHC (I believe that's it) and I had never heard of it, but (naivelly? stupidly? uninformedly?) figured that since my camera wasn't even a year old that it probably had that drive and it was the right size. Trying to see if I can exchange it before AZ, I need more than a gig + 8 pictures for AZ!
Going to work more of my cosplay later, transferring the marking on the patterns to the fabric and then sewing, thankfully the instructions looked straightforward when I read over them. And in other cosplay news, I got +Anima volume 2 and I really want to do Rose's outfit, the only problem is no color reference! And I saw episode 6 of Code Geass, I love Nunally's new outfit, wouldn't mind making that either...
