May 12th: AHHHH TOO MUCH STUFF!

May 12, 2008 19:03

Alright school, I admit that you might be more important in my life than other stuff but guess what? I DUN CARE! Seriously, I don't care if I have 10 million projects (only a slight exageration...), I have been waiting 14 months for Animazement, you hear me FOURTEEN MONTHS! I am not going to not finish my cosplays because of all the projects you give me in the LAST MONTH. I have a life outside of school, not a huge one, which is why when school infringes on it, well, I get more than a little b*tchy. Although good note, Amulet Spade is DONE. Or as done as it's going to be for this con.

That said, thankfully it was only one model, not five for Botany, power went out right before third period and only came on towards the end of fourth (first time since 3rd grade that's happened). Since the toilets still flushed, the PA system worked (WTF, NOT EVEN HELL COULD TAKE OUT THAT THING!) and we had some emergency lighting (veeeerrrryyyyy useful in the bathroom) class went on. And of course, this is the one day of the year (pretty much) that we were going to see a movie in history class, and of course this screws up my essay for history class. No I wasn't working on it when the power went out (I was working on Chemistry!) but I have to write an essay anaylzing three anti-war songs from Vietnam period. Okay, I was planning to print them out and read over them on the bus and make note, that way I have a lot of the project done. Well after school I found that the printer had already been broken, the power outage had really screwed it up (BTW, we think it was due to high winds, more on that later) and the librarian wasn't present so I couldn't ask how to send the paper to the backup printer (nobody nearby knew). Ironically enough, I had come down at lunch to also do work, but there was a class in the library so I couldn't ask for help then either, in fact, all of the times I've needed help lately she hasn't been there! And I rarely need help, so this is really annoying...
On the wind thing, we are supposed to have our giant tetris boards finished by tomorrow for art class, but aside from some questionable moral practices (summoning demons to do it for you, enslaving people to do it, selling your soul to the devil to do it) it's not gonna get done. So CG offers to take it home and paint (since the school ran out of primer) and screw on the screws (since we only have one power drill). So she asks me to carry the 6 foot long board of cardboard (that's really what it is) while she carries the wood. And let me tell you, short person+six foot piece of cardboard+sturdy winds =BAD IDEA. I'm really surprised I didn't blow away...
Signing off!
