March 29th & 30th: The last days of vacation...
Yawn, sorry I didn't post yesterday, the meme I posted below took a lot of time. And I didn't really feel like posting, yesterday was boring. I haven't worked on my shorts a lot actually, I just feel lazy. Actually, this morning I felt just plain tired, I never sleep well at my dad's house. I need like, total darkness to sleep in, if there is just a little bit of sunlight I can't (does that make me a reverse vampire?) and my brother simply can't be quite. I swear that boy is deaf (actually, he had a lot of ear infections when he was little and the doctors were worried that he wouldn't be able to hear at all, it really impeded his speech and only said his first full sentence when he was 4). Anyway, I was so tried and I hate this, I never get enough sleep on the weekends or in school, vacation is better and I think college will be. Don't try to tell me "Oh you'll still have to get up early" I doubt I'll have to get up at 6:30 if my first class is at 8:30 and that's what I'm doing now. High school is not healthy, god knows why people think we need it...
Speaking of God (now capitalized) I went to youth group and well, I'm not sure how long I will keep going. Katie has decided that we are spiritually deep enough (or something along those lines, I can't recall her exact words) and she wants to help us deepen beyond a buddy get together thing. Um, yeah, I'm not going to go through with that I think. She even used me as an example of how I'm very passionate about what I believe (well, why should you be half hearted about something that important enough for you to believe it) and that I am passionate about not understanding the church (not the adjective I would've used...) and how every one goes through that stage.
Um hello, a stage? I know she probably didn't mean it in the sense that I'm some kid who is gonna mature and think later this was silly, or I hope she didn't. It was just so, like she was making my thoughts seem less important. I know that a lot of people go through doubt in their religion, that actually makes me feel better since I know I'm not alone. But, I don't know if this is just a stage. I believe that everyone is good and that if you do good for the sake of doing good that you are good. I don't see the purpose of most of the Catholic regulations (against gay marriage, against women as priests) and I have a hard time remembering sometimes that they are the good guys. My mom says she thinks I'm Buddist, although I think that's unlikely since, even though I am the first person to mediate I am also the first person who will smack another for saying something mean. Hey I've got a split personality or something, call me a living oxymoron.
So yeah, I don't know, well, I'm pretty sure I don't want to go deeper into something I don't understand. And also, she mentioned one of her former youth (before she was a youth group leader here she worked at another church out in California) who is now very into this faith but wasn't at first. I don't want to follow that sterotype, I'm not a preacher, not a speaker. I'm the one who will encourage others to change and change myself if need be. I'm not the leader, more like the second in command (the one who argues with the leader if they think the plan is wrong and hopefully isn't killed lol).
