February 8th & 9th: Party time!

Feb 10, 2008 18:37

Whew, that was crazy, I had so much to do before the party. We actually had to call my dad over so he could help us take apart the fooseball (is that how you spell it? It's table soccer), move the pieces, and stick it back together inside since it wouldn't fit through the family room door or the screen porch door (where it had been all summer) no questions asked. And that went well (okay, one piece nearly hit my brother but it didn't). I was running around (along with my mom) trying to get everything done while my brother was just sitting around doin nuthin'. I'll be so glad when it's HIS birthday, then he gets to share the lovely chore of cleaning out the bathroom with me!

Anyway, I do have a mini rant about my brother actually. I'm getting ahead of myself but I'll tell it now anyway. During the party he was in a bad mood and I was so embaressed. I mean, some of my friends have siblings so they know, but still, my brother turned into like, typical arrogant (love to say that word BTW, I like rolling the r)/depressed/surly teeenaged boy! And you are NOT allowed to be typical in this house! Or rude in front of guests, that one is actually more important... He was banging on the basement ceiling (so the floor of the living room), being not talking and having his eyebrows crushed together when phantom's mother came in when she picked her up (and being ruder than nessecary when her sister accidently disconnected the PS2).
But anyway, he even had his friend George (who I like, nice quirky guy) over before my party. And then phantom came early (I had forgot she was going too) and then George's dad came over to pick him up, and Sarah called to ask what my house looked like and she and Olive pulled up at the same time (neither one of them was driving though) and then shader came right after george left and AH IT WAS HETIC! Oh but I was playing a good game of fooseball with George before hand (I have played so many games over the past two days, not complaining, it's just different, oh and Olive and I had our "million and one, how do you say that?" rematch, we play each other all summer during the rest periods at the pool).
So what did we do? Well, there was lots of DDR (shader brought a spare DDR mat and a game, and phantom brought two more so we played all three of them and ignored my puny supernova). I have decided that I want DDR Extreme 2, better songs and it's nice to DDR to some song that I have been REALLY wanting to. It's funny, I think in words and pictures, yet I have to restrain myself from tapping out a beat and I obssess over music sometimes. But I don't like listening to music that has too good a beat, makes me feel like my heart is bouncing out of sync.
We had foundu (and my mom accidently dropped the piglets in blankets on the floor of the oven so the smoke detector randomly went off, normal in this house sadly) and we talked a lot. Like how shader found a cache of guns in her house that she has never seen before, 5 assulut rifles (now they could REALLY take on the military...). Or Leigh seems to have some family problems, but I feel like those aren't mine to tell, at least not now. Mine to help, maybe that though, and I'm sure that the rest of us would help as well. I'm worried that Olive might not have felt completely in place because she didn't know anyone, but I did try to make her feel welcome, and we're not snotty people, just a bit odd and sometimes volient (but we don't hit anyone not in our group, it's like a 3 stooges thing I think).
We had to drop A-C off (in case you were wondering, phantom, shader, A-C, sarah, olive, and leigh came, alex texted sarah that she had just woken up, I think that she has been drinking and smoking all night again) because her mom was unable to. Leigh was staying the night since she lives so far out so she came along. Saw a simply gorgeous sunset, and A-C's room which is wow, messy. No other words shall describe it.

The night was quite (except when Leigh accidently woke me up at 3:15 going to the bathroom -_- ) and her mom picked her up this morning because they go to church nearby (but not my parish though).
Today was quite, I'll talk more about that tomorrow since it's about books and I could talk for a long time about books.
Signing off!

party, friends
