November the 30th and December the first: Rain and Snow

Dec 01, 2010 23:30

Didn't post yesterday because, not only did I have a NaNo to finish (managed it, although again I misjudged just how long the ending would be) and had to prepare for a speech this morning, even not posting here meant that I got to bed pretty late.
Not that much happened, although there was a TON of rain. Technically it started Monday evening, hence why I took safe ride (I can carry one box of rain up and down stairs across campus in a raining mist right around freezing but two was just too tricky otherwise) and didn't end until Tuesday night. It started off rather light and then by the evening quote "it's not raining, it's god continuously pouring buckets of water on us." There might have been some hail late in the evening too, but after over four inches of rain it changed to snow so Wednesday I was dealing with flurries and nasty wind all day.
So, both days were full but of full of normal stuff. Classes, work, running around exchanging stuff with friends (so I now have a borrowed laptop charger, yay!), got hours for next semester (and since I don't want to work weekends again and have work every day during the lunch hour I was a bit screwed, ended up grabbing a 8 to 10 am shift at Chick-Fil-A M/W/F, guess I'll be getting up at 7 am for most of next semester). Went to anime club and, of all things to watch, we ended up watching Hamtaro. Well, half the group was watching, the other half of us were testing the limits of rule 34 and just chatting (I'm wondering now if we the club started getting together for dinner beforehand how many takers we would get, the whole group gets along pretty well).
Let's see, today I gave my speech and I think that went pretty well (now, to start thinking about the next one D: ), taught a couple of people a few basics about knitting before I had to run to class, class, more photo work, and then a Humans vs Zombies meeting. Little worried about that one, we plan to hold the mini game this weekend but it seems like almost no one knows about it, really hope the mods don't outnumber the players at the meeting.

So, just reveling in not having to work on my NaNo anymore and a lot of my projects are close to being done, I am cautiously thinking that next week won't be so bad (or at least as crazy busy) but I'm waiting for something to come and prove me wrong there.

work, rain, anime, nanowrimo, school, snow
