Not actually a quote but honestly, my friends are so strange in such odd ways that I have to love them for it.
Today had fewer things going on but still managed to be plenty full, funny how that works. Got up, got ready, went off to the public library to return Empire of Ivory and that's the last book I owe them, I'm starting to think I won't be able to do another library run until late October with the number of books I have to read these days. Went to the college library get out books for my History of Photography paper (it's not due until November but I might as well start flipping through the books and mulling stuff over), had a hard time figuring out where they kept the oversize books, and was a little annoyed at how we had so many extra people on campus for the open house today. Went into work at 2 and apparently the past hour had been amazingly crazy, the other cashiers said something about not being able to see any of the counters and seeing a mass of people I guess they must've had a crowd of a few dozen at once, ew. I'd believe it too, the tables certainly seemed messier today and I spent a lot of time moving stuff back around, dunno about y'all but when I move a table in an eating place/library/ect I try to move it back when I'm done, it seems a bit arrogant otherwise. There was still a good amount of traffic going through so they had me practice on the registers and I guess I was okay on them. Not amazing and not horrid (I hope) but there are so many options for food in just that one section that it takes a little bit of time to remember where everything comes from and then were each individual item is on the screen (especially since sometimes multiple items come under the same vague heading). Hope I'll do better in two weeks and I guess I'll try to grab my hours at another place next semester (want to keep my stir fry hours and I should be able to reclaim them at the end of the semester, my hope is to get hours at Chik-Fil-A next semester and then use that to get a job at them near my house, it's sad that working food service is less well regarded than working at the school library yet I have to to get a job somehow, it's just so backwards).
After that I got back to my dorm, FINALLY did my dishes, met Caitlyn for dinner and after that we went back to my room for a ton of anime viewing (and toothless cuddling, she wants me to make one for her and I said no, it took too long and she said she'd commission me to do it which made my consider it XD ). Let's see, she had picked up Red Garden at Dragon*Con and neither of us had seen it so we watched the first disc/six episodes and I think I like it. Not as much as I'd hoped and, funny as it sounds, it doesn't feel a lot like anime, maybe like an American-Japanese co-production but it's very different in artistic style, characterization, and just overall feel. Then she made me watch the first episode of Ladies vs Butlers (THE FANSERVICE, IT BURNS!) so I made her watch the first episode of Occult Academy as revenge (really liking this one, last episode comes out this week but since I'm on the one week delay I won't see it for two weeks). And I've been chilling and nearly falling asleep in my room ever since, guess I need to get off to bed now. Tomorrow should be a simple but full day again, really hoping that I get my last two prints made tomorrow, well, get two where I can see where to go from next on them, the chemicals in the darkroom had better be fresh this time or I'm going to be very pissy about it, mutter mutter.
