September the 15th: Accomplished some stuff today and not others

Sep 15, 2010 23:58

My day started really early today, 1:30 am in fact when I heard banging on my door and decided after a minute that it might not be the door and the window talking to each other and lo and behold it was actually my roommate who lost her key. Still hasn't found it yet so we're probably going to need to put in a work order (or she might've already) to get the locks changed, it's a pain but apparently that's the only thing you can do.
Classes went alright today, although my art teacher seemed skeptical that my designs were pretty random/spontaneous (it looks like my brain on randomness to me anyway) and I was going to ask my photo teacher for advice today but she had an appointment during her office hours so I'll try to catch her after convocation tomorrow (urgh, have to go for a class but at least I get to sleep in some and I hope I can sneak my knitting in, since it's a half pound ball of yarn I might just go the book route instead, even if the knitting would help me to concentrate better). Went to the, um, guess it's the foreign studies office during their office hours today but it was too busy for me to talk to anyone. I did talk to the people in the hall and got advice on stuff, like I need to go to an info session before I can really do one of the walk ins and one girl said she did know someone who was a photo major who studied abroad (since that had been what I was really going in to ask, if I even had a chance of completing my major classes abroad since they are a bit specialized). Ironically enough she said she thought her friend went to New Zealand, not only was New Zealand one of the top places on my list but I was looking through the school site a little bit and saw they had a technical college in Christchurch (so more likely to have classes, also, where the earthquake was recently) and I've had two cousins go to NZ for study abroad so I have a feeling I'd get teased a lot if I followed in their footsteps. Still arguing with my bank's website a little (just the organization of the site, not the bank itself thank god) but things are moving along there. And that's it for today, quite but a bit busy none the less.

new zealand, public speaking, study abroad, black and white photography, roommate, knitting, art class
