Although it wasn't ants that kept me from writing this, mainly it was my left wrist hurting Wednesday (I suspect it was just overuse, I did do a lot of knitting and shooting with my new camera) and then I was just tired Thursday. No idea why I was more tired Thursday than Wednesday since, on Wednesday, I went out to Chapel Hill and had a decent time walking around and photographing stuff. Didn't photograph everything that looked cool (because that would've required asking my mom and brother to stop nearly every minute) but I did get a number of shots I liked. And it appears that my lens is a bit on the wide side since my pictures were turning out to show more than the viewfinder did, so I'm going to mess around with it more so I really get a feel for it.
Thursday was normal, even though I was trying not to use my left hand as much (my whole arm was twining in weird places and after trying to use my right hand more that one is hurting a little bit too, gah, don't need problems like this especially this young). Had an average day at the shop, not much to shelve so I got to really fill up the shelves and found out that, while my coffee shop doesn't have the
anti-robbery sword that Questionable Content has we do have a rather large knife.
Thursday was also when the ants appeared. Dear lord, it was the bathroom again and, since we all know full well by now that this bathroom is really prone to ants, we have been keeping that clean for months. Weekly cleaning, heck my mom even scrubbed down the tiles while Sam and I were away, and the ants didn't even go after the bar soap. However I needed the bar soap for showering so I moved it to the bathtub and the ants came out. The soap is actually heavily scented so I guess that's what did it, but why they went after where the soap used to be and not where it now was I haven't a clue (going after the old throat lozenges did make sense though). So, been killing like crazy and the windex is living in the bathroom until the exterminators come Monday, but they seem to have died off later today (maybe all the spray finally killed the pheromone trails) so, but that will make it harder for the exterminators to figure out where to spray. :\
Friday was boring, plain and simple. Sure I had Project Runway to watch while I sewed and I really got into The End of Eternity by Isaac Asimov but I just didn't do much. Hoping tomorrow is more interesting, at the very least I should finally be getting a chance to see Inception and I'm stoked about that. So, going to see if I can stay awake long enough to see the next episode of Ergo Proxy, should make for interesting dreams tonight.
