July the 18th and 19th: Removed that books to read entry

Jul 20, 2010 00:43

Never looked at it anyway, keeping it in a word document should help me remember stuff better (geeze, some of that stuff I've been waiting for for years too, as long as I find it in under 10 years I think I'm doing okay). Was tired last night so I just finished up my anime review and I'm tired again today so I'll have to get to my review of The Sorcerer's Apprentice tomorrow (so strange to see movies so quickly after they're released) but I like having a day to think about everything and mull it over anyway. Got a couple of book reviews to put up before I leave on Thursday (even though the house apparently has wi-fi I'm just not risking my laptop up there, heck, not risking my camera either but that's because I don't have a bag for it). Will be bringing even more books along so I plan to spend all the time I'm not in the water/forced socializing with my family of my own free will either reading or working on my silly leg warmers (reminds me, ran out of white thread here so I need to pick up more before I can keep working on the main parts of Kobato's shirt, trying to figure out why I run out of black fleece before white fleece yet I run out of white thread before the black thread).
Let's see, picked up Spice and Wolf two at Borders on Sunday and was checking around to see what else they had and I saw that they had volume 3 of 07-Ghost (which I've actually had a bit of a hard time tracking down, seems to be the last volume that Go Comi released which makes me sad too*) so I'll pick that up next time I'm there. Didn't see Kieli there so I'll have to grab that at B&N but I also saw a lot of series I haven't gotten around to reading yet taunting me there. Got a chance to flip through the CLAMP kimono book and it didn't interest me so I can cross that off my list at least and all my summer reading is crossing even more books off my list**.
Not much else to say, like I said I saw The Sorcerer's Apprentice with Chynna and loaned her all 12 of my CCS manga since she had blitzed through the rest of FMA (apparently she read the 2 volumes I loaned her and then finished up the rest in one long go, so about 16 or so volumes in about a day and a half @_@ ) and CCS was the only complete longer series I had (plus she wanted to try it, found a number of people want to read it since they remember watching it as a kid). Cleaned a few more window screens but the two remaining ones (well, haven't tackled my brother's room actually) are proving very hard if not nigh-impossible to get out*** so I'm hoping the weather gets less humid so I don't die washing my mom's car (need to make sure we have eco-friendly soap first though, the runoff here goes straight to the streams and I just found a video that Boone is having a big fish die off because of improper parking lot sealant, 97 fish in one 1.5 mile section of a tributary big die off). So, guess I should get to bed soon, just a bit more manga before bed first though....

*I swear, I have one fluffy BL series and the company goes under. >.<
**One or two I will buy, like Into the Wild Nerd Yonder but I really prefer to read books first and then buy then because these days I have no idea what I'll like enough to buy or not (and with YA novels twice as expensive as manga/LN that means it takes twice as long to earn the money).
***Remarked to my mom that there must be an easier way to get screens out/in and she said that the newer storm windows are much easier, quite envious since the windows fasten three or four different ways here, one style requires a wrench to get them off and the other two require lubricant to get them back in, banged up my fingers in the process a bit.

full metal alchemist, family, movie, kiele, spice and wolf, sewing, 07 ghost, into the wild nerd yonder, vacation, cardcaptor sakura, the sorcerer's apprentice, clamp, coslay, kobato, knitting
