September 21: AVATAR PARTY!

Sep 24, 2007 20:12

I had no school today which was even more awesome because then I didn't have to be distracted in class all day waiting for the third season of Avatar: the last airbender!

So I invited my friend Amber over to see the episode with me, but she didn't come over until much later and I did other stuff to do that day. Like wearing red all day in celebration, reading at Barnes & Noble (and then spending 10 minutes walking over to the gocercy store to catch up with my mom, and I was at the "Maze Mall" to boot!), and just general stuff. Oh and I made cake!

I actually baked both of those cakes, the one on the left is mine (it's supposed to be the symbol for fire bending with the Roman numeral three underneath it, but the frosting messed up) and my brother's is one the left (simply cut into the shape of the fire nation symbol and covered in red frosting). They turned out okay, the frosting tasted weird though.
I went to a meeting for this thing the youth group is doing this year called "Trunk or Treat" which is (actually) similar to it's name. Amoung other things, people will be parking in the church/school parking lot (since they are connected they share it) and they will decorate their trunks and little/middle school kids can go around trick or treating. And since I am a high schooler I'm going to have to help be in charge of this.
Wait, me in charge, I sense chaos later...
Back to the avatar party:

All the plushes are there and ready for action!

And of course avatar was AWESOME! Although the Maiko kiss (a mere three minutes into the episode) startled all three of us, and we all knew that was a ship! On the topic though, I was really glad I had read the comics in the Avatar Nick mag, if I hadn't I would have been pretty lost.

Wow, two journals in two days now, I'm on a roll! Signing off!
