April the 15th: Not in hot water today
They had to turn off the hot water at 9 (thankfully they sent out an email first) so that the broken pipe that has been spewing steam (at least I hope that was steam @_@ ) and leaking at the bottom of the waterfall stairs (where I had to step around the first day to literally stay out of hot water) can be repaired. Just one of the joys of living on college, and answers my question of where the hot water heater is in my building anyway (apparently not here!).
So, had my counterculture class at the Mellow Mushroom instead of in a classroom (actually, it was more of an outing than anything else, I was just happy I could find the place, google maps definitely showed a dot on the other side of the road where a campus parking lot should be). Tried the Hawaiian Pizza and I actually liked it. Whoever comes up with these pizza toppings, you have too much time on your hands, keep up the good work!
Developed the first roll of film from yesterday's action shots and so far so good! The pictures that involved Olivia blowing/throwing cherry blossoms at me look pretty cool and one of the shots I have of one of the guys juggling double exposed his arm so it's in two places as once, awesome! Going to develop that other roll which is half action shots tomorrow and hoping I got a nice shot or two out of that. Slightly worried since Olivia is swamped with work this weekend (as late as that girl stays up I never understand how she never gets everything done) so I'm hoping to get some pictures of the Asian dances Saturday at the festival (and this has required a bit of a plan change for the weekend but I've given up on having set plans for my days). Also finished up knitting my square (erm, rectangle) for the knitting club quilt, and I got the measurements wrong again. Gaahhh >_< Too late now, and I also knitted my tree scarf until I ran out of yarn. Guess I'll have to wait until I move out to finish it, Walmarts craft section is looking awfully bare.
Oh, and as a follow up to yesterday and the anime, Funimation is streaming two brand new shows and I tried out the first one, The House of the Five Leaves. I'm intrigued, the character designs are kinda ugly but the rest of the art is great and the plot seems like it'll be a mix of intrigue and slice of life, going to keep an eye on it and the next one doesn't air until next week. I foresee having busy Thursday this summer... signing off, hope I don't have a Japanese quiz tomorrow.
