Augh, my dad deposited money into the wrong account yesterday (which I didn't figure out until I had a sinking feeling when I did my laundry and then saw that my balance was immensly higher than it should've been). Cue lots of running around, panicking, frustration tears, and then running to the cashiers to see if I could use the amount on my express account to pay the balance (which was a yes, thank all the higher powers that be). So, Easter break is going to involve some number crunching. Not sure if my parents are aware of this yet and, even though I feel weird having both of them in the same room at the same time, we're just going to have to deal with it since I NEED to know exactly how everything in college works. If this is a rite of passage (dumb one at that to, "Adults are stupid, my friends are crazy and I may still not be sane" was a running mantra today) then I want all the details STAT.
And all of that took a good deal of my day (after classes and being briefly kidnapped to have lunch with Caitlyn, Brea, and a few others, Brea makes a really good Creepy Child I'm gonna say...). Also looked at the summer course I wanted to register for and geeze, it looks like I have to completely enroll at the community college to make it work. I thought that at a community college you just signed up, paid for it, and got a post it note you stuck to your transcript that had an official looking signature on it. Clearly my world is much more simple than the real one and, if I do have to jump through all the hoops again, I just won't take the summer course and will make it work next semester instead. It's just so bureaucratic, but not as bad as the fact that not all the courses in the NC system transfer over to another school. Seriously, what's the point of calling it "the UNC system" if it's not connected?!? Can't you, I dunno, have a meeting once a year where all the department representatives from various schools come together, show what new courses they offered and all the details, and had everyone go back to their respective colleges to figure out where each course would fit into? Is it work? Sure, but at this point it's all work so does it matter? I'm just annoyed at the whole thing and wondering how best to raise a fuss about it. (Not in the school newspaper though, boy, I thought college newspapers were supposed to be better than high school ones, ours is crud!)
So, we had no movie tonight but do have Comic Con tomorrow. Hopefully I can grab Conspiracy of Kings and a hat for Erika on the way back too but that's pushing it, going to stay optimistic however. Need to work on sewing too, gah, so much in so little time.
Signing off, shower and then BED.
