September 1-Libari-Con!

So yes, I have finally gone to my first anime con, wohoo! It was a small even called Libari Con (aptly named for taking place in a library over 2 hours from my house), lasted one day and it was free! So I was somehow able to convince my mom to take me there (still can't remeber how I did that) and so we're off!
After a few minor incidences ("You mean we were driving behind a dead guy for ten miles?!?") we mangaed to get to the Fayetville library without getting lost. I was having second thoughts about this thing (very normal, it's bad if I DON'T have secong thoughts) but then I saw what looked like Tsunade and some Shinigami walking around, so I at least knew I was in the right place. And the people right inside the doors with the libari con info were really nice so that made me feel a little more comfortable, but I was still feeling so shy. And the fact that I just realized that I had never tested walking around in my ninja shoes up and down stairs so I didn't even know if they would fall off or not, lol.
I went to a few of the panels in area called "The Commons" which was just an area in the library that was a bunch of chairs and a table or two. The problem, the people in the artist grotto were right next to us, so the sound overlapped a bit. I'm not saying that the people in the gretto were too loud, I'm saying that they were loud enough that hearing the speakers was a little hard.
But I did get this interesting picture from the cosplay panel:

Noo, the 501st are toturing innocent plushies!
After that I had lunch outside with my mom and I have to say, that library is in a beautiful area. Fountians, bridges, trees, a stream that the librarians would probably be constanly chasing me out of if I went there, it was pretty nice.
Afterwards I went indoors and back upstairs to the artist gretto (because I could never figure out what they were playing in the video room, they kept changing it!). I had been reading a little manga earlier (when I then heard someone yell "You killed my father!" looked over, saw Darth Vader, and went back to reading), but now I was actually going to try drawing and talking to people. And guess what, I actually did! I must have gotten over my shyness (at least temporarly) and was able to talk to some of the people there about random things (the shojo bat, about girly looking boys, and about why I absolutly HAVE to go to AZ 08). Random picture!

I call it "Charlies angels, final fantasy style.
So I spent a while talking to people, drawing a little, and wandering around. I did see the cosplay runway (and when I was trying to figure out where to stand before hand, somone took my picture! O_o I mean, I wasn't really wearing anything cool, but I did hear someone once say that they went to a con in normal clothing and someone took their picture...). You can find the pictures from the show (most of them, I didn't upload ALL my pictures) here.
So all in all it was a crazy fun day, I got free stuff, and I managed to not kill myself while wearing the ninja shoes. I also don't think I got any odd looks when we had to stop off at a gas station for food.

Signing off!
