October the 27th and 28th: I hate Calvinism
Gah, I have this test on a book I had to read for Global Themes tomorrow (The Emergence of Liberty in the Modern World, the influence of calvin on five governments from the 16th through the 18th centuries, and I actually read the entire thing) and it is an impossible book. Trying to figure out if Toakville or this was more impossible, at least I managed to take good notes on Toakville, couldn't manage even that here. I even had to call my mom to get some info, she didn't know anything super specific (not surprising) but she did suggest some things for me to look up on wikipedia so I sent about a half hour just reading through tons of stuff there. Ugh, my plan for tomorrow is to try and impress my teacher with all the names/places/treaties in my essay and make some stuff up. Yeah, sounds like my best plan, at least it won't be complete B.S. And as a side note my english paper is kicking my ass, I just hope I choose the right kind of topic for it.
Anywho, the anime theme last night got changed from Sports to Halloween-ish and we ended up watching xxxHolic A Midsummer Night's Dream. I was sad that Angela, Chynna, Joe, and Richard all left in the first five minutes. I will admit that xxxHolic does not look that good as an anime (same for TRC) but c'mon, you really need to give it more than five minutes. Actually, Joe was just trying it out tonight, I have NO IDEA what Chynna's tastes are, Richard's are horrible, and Angela says she really doesn't like the animation (I know that anime has fewer scenes between the important stills or something but honestly I don't notice it) so I don't know why she comes at all. Kinda sad but oh well, I actually do get a little embarrassed that I hang out with people who leave after the first few minutes though. Been watching some Honey and Clover as I sew, should finish up all that's on hulu tomorrow and (hopefully!) everything that I can finish with my jacket and shirt. I really want to wear my cosplay Friday just for the heck of it (and maybe get Brea to get a photo or two...) so I'm working like mad to get it done. Not happy at how the fabric glue is butchering my sleeve cuffs but I think I can make it work with some sewing and ribbon, oh crap that involves more glue doesn't it? Better use hot glue this time...
Gonna trundle off to bed now, a little studying and then hitting the sack, maybe I can also finish my knitting as well as my cosplay tomorrow....
