October the 14th, 15th, and 16th: Alive but wishing she was in Boone

Oct 16, 2009 22:39

Yup, still alive, survived the bus ride (bleehhhh, I felt like the traveler in a story as I stood in the rain under my umbrella with my big-ass bag which was hopefully not sitting in a puddle), they had two buses this time so I don't think we had anyone sitting in the aisles this time. I think so but I'm not sure. But I was annoyed at how we had a bus that was going to go to Winston (since Winston has three stops they were going to hit up all three stops), and every time we had someone who was going to Winston the bus driver would send them to the other bus. We still made all three stops. *headdesk* The only people who got off we some guy who got on in Yadkinville and then some random woman who got on in Winston since the other buses were taking too long. By the last stop he was even giving us suspicious looks as no one was getting off. So I got home at a decent time and was so unhappy to realize how cold it was. Dangit I came out of the chilly mountains, seriously the mountains are supposed to have snow Friday and Saturday, and was expecting a temperate climate. Grrr, curse you global warming....
Also had a seriously hard time falling asleep Wednesday night, well, Thursday morning. Like, I think I didn't fall asleep until around 6 AM I think, I actually woke up when I heard someone moving around in my brother's closet and assumed that he was getting ready for school. Seriously didn't believe my clock when it said 12:38, had to check both my watch and cell phone to believe it. I just felt so lethargic for the rest of the day, it was cold, wet, and my house is so dark because of all the curtains. And the junk, oh the junk! My family has the pack rat syndrome (to the point where my grandparents have filled up an attic, a corncrib, and a good sized tobacco farm). There is just stuff EVERYWHERE! The kitchen is messy, I have no idea how some of that stuff got in the bathroom, and there is more crap in my bedroom than I remember. Seriously, I like my dorm room since there isn't much room for me to accumulate stuff, I hate how my stuff is all over my room but it's not like I have enough time to unpack and repack!
Didn't do much Thursday, didn't do much today (Friday) either. Did go grocery shopping (nearly went into a rapture over the selection of frozen foods at Taj MaTeter) and got the first volume of Letter Bee at B&N. Actually saw a ton of novels I wanted to read, gah, wish I had more money to buy YA novels, but the manga selection is not being stocked as much as it used to. Sign of the times, also when they have only two old checkout ladies, man this recession scares me....
Probably won't blog tomorrow, maybe Sunday? Maybe a review soon? Who knows 'cause I sure don't! Signing off!
