Sorry for not posting last night, I got press ganged into making the dorm homecoming banner one hour before it was due (apparently the RAs had just heard it would look really bad if we didn't do one so someone sacrificed a bed sheet, they pulled all of these craft stuff outta god knows where, and we had about ten blow dryers going to dry it in time). All in all it turned out pretty nice for only an hour's worth of work, I'll try to get a picture of it when it's hanging up. And in other dorm related news I was in the post office the other day and saw a trash can that clearly had EGGERS written on it. Someone must have been really desperate to haul a trash can all the way across campus, explains why I've only seen one trash can in our dorm though.
Yesterday the knitting club didn't have the yarn but it sounds like there is an ass-ton of free yarn pretty close by. Hell, my dad is coming up Sunday and the only reason I'm not telling him to take me there is because the place with the yarn is closed Sunday. I'm having day-dreams of lovely high quality free yarn~ And it looks like I'll be staying up the whole night helping the Japanese Culture Club build the float for homecoming. There is a tradition that from 11 PM Friday night to 6 AM Saturday morning (the day of the match) that there is this float building get together with soda and pizza provided. Better get a nap that day since I don't want to pass out at 5 AM again, 5 seems to be my threshold for staying up late, that or 23 straight hours, which ever comes first. And they are actually using my idea for the float, Godzilla stepping on an eagle (the other team). Plus they said that they would lift my ban on using paper mache (shader seriously banned me sophomore year when we were making the mecha cow for fine arts day). So if I don't go to the game that's why, I'm just too dammed tired.
So today was quieter, well except for all the wind. I was hearing it bashing in my window all night (seriously, no idea what it could be, Chyna suspects ghosts) and it whistles all the time. It even managed to push me around a bit this morning, considering I'm a 115 pound girl with another 10-15 pounds of clothes and stuff I'm a little impressed, that's quite a lot of wind. But the wind was chilling my ears so fast (I swear I have no blood vessels there) that I had to wear my new Skull Candy headphones as ear warmers. They work pretty well but between that and my H&M coat I probably looked like a wanna be punk. XD
Saw some of Toward the Terra in anime club since that was our only choice for this week (seriously, we have space and no one brought a Gundam? I'm a little worried about next week actually, the theme is live action and I've already got shivers down my spine). I actually was intrigued, I'll add it to the netflix queue I guess (hypothetical queue anyway, need to get together money for an account, just trying to be really careful with my money). Also considering a crunchyroll.com subscription, they plan to simulcast 13 new shows this season, that's half of the new anime in Japan and if they keep doing that then I'm gonna need a sub so I can watch as they come out.
Well, that's about it, now to figure out why one headphone is tighter than the other, signing off!
