Well, making a movie has some really unexpected problems. Like the one we had yesterday where the computer and camera WOULD NOT WORK no matter what we did! Donna and I spent half an hour fiddling around with them, got it to work in the end, but when Donna went to pick up the camera to start shooting the cord fell out of the camera and then the computer turned off.
O_o Okay, this was weird for several reasons. One, this was not the power cord for either of the devices. It was simply the cord that connected the camera to the computer. Two, the computer was plugged in, but we did have trouble even starting the dang thing so maybe it simply switched off at the exact same time. ...yeah, that sounds a little too convenient... And three, the camera was running on it's own power source as well. Earlier we had discovered that the camera was refusing to work if we plugged it in, yet before it hadn't had enough battery power to run itself. Really odd.
So we ended up shooting some stuff on my little camera and it looked okay but just. It looked, really amateurish, grainy, blurry, shaky, just not the quality of stuff I want to show. So, we went home (with me carrying FIVE bags, laptop, camera, other camera, sewing, and book bag) and I had an idea. My brother has this little Flip camcorder and he let me use it for this project provided I let him use my camera for his stop motion film for religion class (which I had said no to before). Oh and the laptop worked basically fine once I plugged it in my room, but the battery refused to charge, it just showed a battery with an X on it. That's not a good sign...
So Tuesday, today, comes and Donna and I are too busy to shoot anything in art class so we head over to the conference room after school. Now with my brother's camera I don't need to worry about the laptop so we were probably going to be able to shoot everything really quickly. I got down there a little late (Latin make up quiz, missed one over the retreat) but still got there before Donna. I open the door, and there are students there. Taking the AP exam.

...
O_O WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?
It's like the scene in a movie (in like, a dream sequence) where the character wanders into the wrong room and finds it filled with aliens. Hell, at least that one would've made sense. I go back to the front desk, look in the reservation notebook and find that I am still the only person to have reserved the room for the day. Then I go on a mad rush looking for Donna (we must've just missed each other) and then find her outside the conference room with Brandon (one of our actors). He already had his cape and tie on over his polo, it turns out, when he opened the door and found the AP kids in there. That was an "Aaahhhhhh" moment, after which the guidance consuler walks out and THEN puts the sign back on the door that there is AP testing going on.
Now this is super strange. Strange as in, a complete and total violation of the AP rules. One, the AP exams would have been well over by this point, it was 3:30 in the afternoon. If you host the exams at another time you simply can't do it later in the day. You have to fill out a long form and then get permission, which I kinda doubt they did. Second, our school never does the AP exams in the conference room, they always use the computer lab. And third, I was the only, THE ONLY, person to have signed up for that room this entire week! I wanna go raise a fuss about it but I doubt that anything would happen. So the lady comes out and tells us to be quite, while we are debating whether or not to wait and then film or to go home, and she says they won't be done until 4:30. Wow, that's like, they must've started the exam at 3, this NEVER happens.
So we left, I managed to catch my bus, and now Donna and I need to figure out, again, when we'll actually get this darn movie filmed! I swear, if we made a "the making of" movie of this it would be such a comedy...
Okay, I feel better now, signing off!
