Attack of the Killer Pictures

It's officially summer now.  I have to swim instead of walk to work, the air is so humid.  Gotta love it.  -_-

Anyways, more real life stuff is falling into place and I keep forgetting to update this thing.  Yup, I'm a bad llama.  But despite the heat, I'm doing very well.  Last week I went to a takoyaki party with some friends and had a hanabi party.  Translation for those two words-takoyaki is a fried ball of dough with a piece of cooked octopus inside and it's not sweet, it's a classic Kansai food; and hanabi is fireworks.  We only had little handheld fireworks, called...senko...hanabi...I think...curse my memory.  It's a little stick with the fireworks part at the end of it.  You light this end and sparks ignite.  It's close to a sparkler but a little different.  We all had a contest to see whose hanabi could last the longest.  I got cut on the first level.  ::doooom::  Meh, oh well.  I've never had an affinity for things on fire, anyways.

Here are more pictures, we're walking, we're walking....

These are the shop owners that let me get these really detailed pictures.  They could speak some English and were really really wonderful!  Thank you!!!

I hope I'm not repeating pictures here; if I am, sorry about that.  ^^;;  A lot of these tapestries are hundreds of years old and from around the world.  It was an awesome awesome festival.

Oh, and I just finished this shawl.  Yeah, it's hotter than Grimy Gulch with a hole in the ozone layer but I decided to make this.

Well, that's it for now.  More updates (hopefully!!) later.
